Wednesday's Health/Beauty Tips: Too Much Heat Is No Good

As all of us girls already know heat is extremely damaging to our hair. It's ok if we use a small amount of heat, but too much is not healthy for your hair. One of the things that can happen to your hair because of it is split ends. Split ends is the splitting and fraying of the hair shaft due to the excessive use of heat and mechanical stress. Breakage is another cause of heat damage. Breaking of the hair is a result of constant heat exposure. Heat is not the only reason for damaged hair. For example, coloring( bleaching and dying) your hair is really damaging. Actually any chemicals put into the hair is not healthy.
Solutions and ways to repair damaged hair: If you want to straighten your hair or blow dry your hair that is fine, just do not put heat on your hair everyday. I put heat in my hair only once a week and I see a big difference. As for coloring, try using ammonia free dyes.

Repairing damaged hair is easy, but it takes time and patience. There are a lot of hair masks and hair treatments to help your hair and nurse it back to health. Hot oil treatments help your hair a lot, it rebuilds your hair from breaking and also keeps the hair moisturized. The hot castor oil treatment is a popular treatment used to fix damaged hair. I am sure there are plenty of oil treatments at your nearest beauty supply store.
I hope you enjoyed reading this post. Are there any methods you use to eliminate heat?

Helpful Posts/Sites For Bloggers

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. While in a blogging rut I came across a lot of posts that have helped me gain confidence. These posts also helped me realize my creativity; all I needed to do was use my noggin! But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

Is there a guide to blogging?

It's been 3 months since I started blogging and I already have 57 followers and I am so grateful and thankful. In a million years I would have never imagined being a blogger. But sometimes I do not feel like one. I mean I know being a successful and known blogger doesn't happen overnight, but sometimes I get discouraged. I have always been someone who is cautious and worries about what people think, so sometimes I feel no one will like what I post. I also feel like, because I am not a well known blogger no one will take the time and give me a chance. I am just being myself, is there something wrong with that? So I started feeling lost and I didn't know what to do; then I thought "Is there a guide to blogging?". Not only did I have these thoughts, but I was also thinking that there are so many wonderful bloggers (beauty, fashion, and lifestyle), so who would even notice my blog. So is there a book to teach people how to blog or am I just overreacting? Sometim...

Color Theory:8 Piece Ultimate Eyeliner Set

I love Eyeliner; eyeliner is my go to look. Anytime I had eyeliner my eyes would look like their dressed up! The only eyeliner I have ever wore up until this point was black; because that was the only color I thought was out (crazy of me right?!) Anyway lately I've seen many girls wear different color eyeliner, mainly on YouTube; so I knew immediately I would have to try it. After a while I forgot all about them, until Christmas of 2012 when I received them. I was so excited because my Mom didn't even know I wanted them; now that I am thinking I didn't even ask!  Now I can match up the colors with eyeshadow. Enough of that here's the box they came in and I have the colors listed below. On the back it just talks about the different styles you can do with the eyeliners. For example: The famous winged look (instructions for it are on the back).                                ...
