My Blog is turning 2!

Two years ago on October 19, when I started blogging I had no idea what I was doing. To be honest sometimes I still feel like I don't know. I have learned so much from this experience good and even bad. I've met so many wonderful bloggers and I've become friends with them too! I wanted to make YouTube videos, like any other girl. My first makeup inspiration was Dulce Candy from DulceCandy87, she taught me how to put on eye makeup for beginners! Her channel really made me feel confident! I had been watching videos for a couple of years, so I thought it would be a good idea. But it was more difficult then I thought it would be. In the end I realized making videos was apparently not for me. Even though I was inspired by these videos, creating one myself was not something I could do. I was nervous and scared. But in the process of my decision I ended up making good friends. Some I still talk to often and others I have unfortunately lost touch with. We were really good friends.

So since making videos was not my thing a few months later in June I decided to try out blogging. I didn't really know what blogging was. I wrote a couple of posts, but no one saw and I didn't know why so I deleted them. A few months after that, around September 7th, I was on Facebook and Laura Vitale from Laurainthekitchen made a post saying to come join her in a twitter chat. So I was like this is so awesome, I've been watching every since she started. But then reality set, when I realized I didn't have a twitter. The chat was almost over, I had ten minutes left to join the chat. So I took the risk and created a twitter. So now I'm down to five minutes left. So I signed up, but then I had to follow like five people in order to move on. In my mind I'm like are you serious. So I followed Laura Vitale, Tia Mowry, and Tamera Mowry, and two others. So now I'm down to a minute left and I can finally move on. So I had to think of something in 30 seconds to tweet. I tweet how I was so inspired by her. When I sent the tweet, there was no time left and I thought I missed out. So when she responded I almost fell out of my seat. I was really excited and it made my day! She has inspired me to enjoy cooking. She also helped me bring back memories of me as a child trying to help my mom cook, especially on the holidays. Now that I am older while me and my mom are in the kitchen cooking we share stories with my 15 year old sister (she likes to watch!)

From that day on, I had a twitter but didn't know what to do with it. I remember the day I started getting followers. One of the first followers were @TMariebeauty74, I was surprised but grateful. Although I could not understand how a Beauty guru on YouTube found me on twitter and decided to follow me. Like I said I am very grateful to her and I really appreciate it a lot. I felt like I was a nobody compared to all of these Beauty gurus and bloggers. Since I did not want to make videos because I felt uncomfortable, a month and 12 days, on October 19 I made the decision to start blogging since I had a twitter and I could share my posts there. I decided to start blogging to share my interests and write inspirational posts. I remember my first blog follower was another person on YouTube, her name on there was Ms.ScreamQueen. We talked to each other, but then I do not know where she went. I hope she's ok!

I did not want to be boring and continue with my story, but this is basically how I got my twitter and why I started blogging! I hope you all enjoyed really reading. Writing this post brings back so many memories for me. I am so grateful to everyone who gave my blog a chance. I am so glad I started blogging, because I learned a lot. So many people on YouTube have inspired and they continue to. I do not know where I will be in another year with blogging, but I am glad for these two years!

Helpful Posts/Sites For Bloggers

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. While in a blogging rut I came across a lot of posts that have helped me gain confidence. These posts also helped me realize my creativity; all I needed to do was use my noggin! But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

Is there a guide to blogging?

It's been 3 months since I started blogging and I already have 57 followers and I am so grateful and thankful. In a million years I would have never imagined being a blogger. But sometimes I do not feel like one. I mean I know being a successful and known blogger doesn't happen overnight, but sometimes I get discouraged. I have always been someone who is cautious and worries about what people think, so sometimes I feel no one will like what I post. I also feel like, because I am not a well known blogger no one will take the time and give me a chance. I am just being myself, is there something wrong with that? So I started feeling lost and I didn't know what to do; then I thought "Is there a guide to blogging?". Not only did I have these thoughts, but I was also thinking that there are so many wonderful bloggers (beauty, fashion, and lifestyle), so who would even notice my blog. So is there a book to teach people how to blog or am I just overreacting? Sometim...

Color Theory:8 Piece Ultimate Eyeliner Set

I love Eyeliner; eyeliner is my go to look. Anytime I had eyeliner my eyes would look like their dressed up! The only eyeliner I have ever wore up until this point was black; because that was the only color I thought was out (crazy of me right?!) Anyway lately I've seen many girls wear different color eyeliner, mainly on YouTube; so I knew immediately I would have to try it. After a while I forgot all about them, until Christmas of 2012 when I received them. I was so excited because my Mom didn't even know I wanted them; now that I am thinking I didn't even ask!  Now I can match up the colors with eyeshadow. Enough of that here's the box they came in and I have the colors listed below. On the back it just talks about the different styles you can do with the eyeliners. For example: The famous winged look (instructions for it are on the back).                                ...
