I'm Not Censoring My Blog Anymore

This year will mark four years as a blogger for me. During this time I feel like I haven't shown my full potential. Am I making sense? Here's what I mean; being on the Internet can have its consequences. Everyone is attacked for speaking up or even talking at all. I was afraid to talk about certain situations or topics, because of the criticism I would receive. Those thoughts stop now. This is my blog and I can do whatever I want.

I am not someone who wants to try new things out of my comfort zone. But I feel like I shouldn't censor myself, because someone might not like what I say. If you don't that's fine, but this is my opinion and I'm entitled to have one right? Since I started blogging I've grown a lot. I want my blog to be a place where people can relate to. I don't want my blog to be stiff; I want more of who I am to come through!

I'm not the most organized blogger and I don't really have a set schedule. I am learning to plan ahead which has helped me, but that's about it. If you are struggling to find your own voice, it's already there inside. If you're like me you tend to worried about what you should and should not say. I started out as a beauty blogger and that will not change. I'm also a lifestyle blogger too! I am expanding what I talk about because I have a lot to share. I am a personal and private person to a certain extent, but that doesn't mean I can't share my favorite movies or my life experiences to help someone else. So here's to not censoring my blog!

What's your thoughts are censoring your blog and have you experienced this struggle?

  1. Personally I love reading blogs with a bit of variety, and I think as a blogger it really helps to not keep your topics too narrow because you'll just lose the passion and inspiration for it. Really excited to see what new posts you'll be sharing.

  3. This is a great post! I feel like I lots of people treading lightly on subjects way too much..in a way that doesn't seem authentic if that makes sense. I've never wanted to be that type of person so it pushed me to not censor my blog either!

Helpful Posts/Sites For Bloggers

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. While in a blogging rut I came across a lot of posts that have helped me gain confidence. These posts also helped me realize my creativity; all I needed to do was use my noggin! But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

Color Theory:8 Piece Ultimate Eyeliner Set

I love Eyeliner; eyeliner is my go to look. Anytime I had eyeliner my eyes would look like their dressed up! The only eyeliner I have ever wore up until this point was black; because that was the only color I thought was out (crazy of me right?!) Anyway lately I've seen many girls wear different color eyeliner, mainly on YouTube; so I knew immediately I would have to try it. After a while I forgot all about them, until Christmas of 2012 when I received them. I was so excited because my Mom didn't even know I wanted them; now that I am thinking I didn't even ask!  Now I can match up the colors with eyeshadow. Enough of that here's the box they came in and I have the colors listed below. On the back it just talks about the different styles you can do with the eyeliners. For example: The famous winged look (instructions for it are on the back).                                ...
