In my previous post, you met one of my August advertisers. Now you have the chance to meet Ellie, my second advertiser. Ellie blogs over at Nasty Bruises, so make sure you visit her blog. She blogs about beauty and lifestyle related things. If you want to know more about Ellie and her blog, keep reading!

1. How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for 1 year regularly, however I started my blog over 2 years ago but was never into it this much until now.

2. What inspired you to start a blog?
I have always loved creating my own space on the Internet when it was piczo back in the day and then MySpace. Also watching you tubers and reading their thoughts on products inspired me to share my thoughts and opinions

3. What goals do you have for yourself and your blog?
Goals I have is to post weekly 2-3 times, and for my followers to grow😊 and hopefully one day have the confidence to start a YouTube Chanel!

4. Where do you see your blog in the next year?
Within the next year I hope my blog is completely re-vamped and as I said before constantly being updated with posts every week. And hopefully more blogging opportunities.

5. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
In the next 5 years I would love blogging along with YouTube to be a part time job that is the dream.

6. What have you learned since you started blogging?
Since blogging I learned to be myself and write what I like to write about and perhaps it won't get as many views as the brand new urban decay palette but I'm enjoying writing what I write, even though people may not like it.

7. What are the positives and negatives of blogging?
Positives of blogging for me is seeing how many people are actually interested in what I say, and take the time out there day to leave lovely comments, and I also love how big the blogging community is and how supportive one another is and for negatives there's not many apart from the people that tend to leave the negative comments- there is just no need!!

8. Would you want to turn this hobby into a career in the future?
A dream of mine would be to sit in my room all day and write blog posts about things I'm passionate about and also start a YouTube, but for now I'll keep dreaming ay!

9. Are you influenced by other bloggers?
I'm always influenced (especially when it comes to buying makeup because if bloggers say it's great of course I NEED IT!!) by other people not just bloggers but you tubers and things I see in the street or people I speak to on a day to day basis! You can be inspired by literally anything and anyone!

10. Has blogging changed you? (Have you made any friends or experienced new things)
Blogging has changed me it has opened up all new doors, I have a few people I speak to here and there regarding blogging which is lovely to speak to people who you have so much in common with. I'm much more confident in speaking to strangers and bloggers and confidence in blogging ( I actually feel like I know what I'm doing) all in all I do not regret starting a blog and I just hope it grows and grows and continues to be as lovely as it is :)

Helpful Posts/Sites For Bloggers

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. While in a blogging rut I came across a lot of posts that have helped me gain confidence. These posts also helped me realize my creativity; all I needed to do was use my noggin! But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

Color Theory:8 Piece Ultimate Eyeliner Set

I love Eyeliner; eyeliner is my go to look. Anytime I had eyeliner my eyes would look like their dressed up! The only eyeliner I have ever wore up until this point was black; because that was the only color I thought was out (crazy of me right?!) Anyway lately I've seen many girls wear different color eyeliner, mainly on YouTube; so I knew immediately I would have to try it. After a while I forgot all about them, until Christmas of 2012 when I received them. I was so excited because my Mom didn't even know I wanted them; now that I am thinking I didn't even ask!  Now I can match up the colors with eyeshadow. Enough of that here's the box they came in and I have the colors listed below. On the back it just talks about the different styles you can do with the eyeliners. For example: The famous winged look (instructions for it are on the back).                                ...

Finding My Passion For Blogging Again

At some point in time, when your heart isn’t into something you should take a break. Blogging is great and I couldn’t see myself without it. However sometimes it can get overwhelming and that’s what happened to me this year. For about eight months I have not blogged and I thought I was a bad person for that. I have realized that it was best to take the long break. In doing so, I have found so many things I love to talk about. I was holding myself back because I put a label on myself, wanting to be known as a beauty blogger. Sure I attached the lifestyle part, but honestly I don’t really know what that means.  During this year I had time to reflect on where I wanted my blog to go and whether I even wanted to write anymore. Honestly the motivation to blog was not there at all and at that time, I really didn’t care if I continued. I did not want to look at my blog or deal with it. For me I was tired of putting in the work and not getting anything in return. Meaning no ...
