Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all enjoyed the holidays. I can't believe it's 2017 already. I'm so grateful to see another year with everyone I care about and love! I have so many goals and plans for myself and I'm really excited for them. I've been thinking about all the plans I have for blog and for me as a person. This year is going to be different, because I'm not going to be so hard on myself. But I also realize that if I want something, I have to work hard for it. It's not just going to fall out of the sky for me. I'm so motivated for the new year. Although everyday is a fresh start, I feel like the new year makes it a clean slate. When you're trying to figure out life and all of the obstacles you're clueless on where to start. But I think I'm getting there, it's taking time but life is all about learning from mistakes and not making them again. Not to rush time, but this year will mark 5 years of blogging for me. But I feel like it's my first because this is a new beginning for me. It's still the same blog, but I've grown as a person. I'm learning to have fun with blogging and accepting me and my flaws. I decided on a more organized blogging schedule too, so that's a relief!

I'm a work in progress and although I don't expect everything to happen overnight, I'm hoping I can accomplish all my goals. Hopefully this world will see brighter days, despite everything that has happened with in the past couple of months. If you want to see change, then do something an it. This is indeed a true statement. I believe people should be treated equally and with respect. No one should feel ashamed or scared of who they are. This year should be filled with peace and happiness. I know everything can't always be rainbows and unicorns filled with sprinkles of positivity, but I'm hopeful. In a place filled with so much negativity having a positive attitude isn't going to make everything better, but it will give some light where darkness falls. You know I should write an ebook of positive messages. I know for me reading inspirational quotes help so much when I'm feeling down. So here's to 2017! A new year to dream big, live life to the fullest, love, stay positive and encourage everyone around you!

Helpful Posts/Sites For Bloggers

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. While in a blogging rut I came across a lot of posts that have helped me gain confidence. These posts also helped me realize my creativity; all I needed to do was use my noggin! But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

My Top 5 Current Beauty Favorites!

I'm not one who has a lot of favorite products, but when I do it's worth sharing. Call me boring, but I'm someone who follows all the trends. Half of the time I don't even buy products that are "most known" or "popular". At the moment I have a handful of products I'm really loving. I'm a picky person when it comes to a lot of things, but these products are great to use. If you are on a budget these products are very affordable and they definitely don't disappoint!   Swissco Detangle Brush I love this detangler brush, it works great on my hair. Although I found this at Marshalls you can find online as well. Both prices are $6! That's very affordable in my opinion, compared to brushes that cost double. You can use this on wet and dry hair. I've tried both and it works very good. When it's time to twist or braid my hair I will use this brush. Most importantly I will use this brush before washing my hair and during th...

E.l.f. Eye Brushes

Although this haul is very small, I just wanted to share with you what I brought. I decided to buy brushes, because I needed them more! The first brushes I were eco-friendly and were really good, but their were more face brushes, then eye brushes. So that wasn't really helpful to me. It was only one eye shadow brush. I rarely shop online, I always go to the store. But I was bored one day and I guess this is what happened! I am really excited to try these brushes! I also brought some things from BH cosmetics, but that's for another post! Eye Shadow Brush The eye shadow brush is supposed to help apply the eye shadow evenly and make it easier. This sounds good, because the brushes I used in the past were tough and hard. It seemed like I had to put a lot of eye shadow on, before it actually showed up on my eyes. Blending Eye Brush This brush is supposed to blend the eye shadows, while softening dramatic edges and lines. This is really good, because before I h...
