Elf Cosmetics Mini Haul

I'm not a makeup expert and I don't wear a lot of makeup. If I do it's only for my eyes and my lips. I'm a simple kind of girl, plus it's too much work for me. So I commend all of you who use primer, foundation and contour! I give you  girls and guys props for that. In the past I talked about how much I love elf cosmetics, second to BH Cosmetics though! They are both affordable plus their good quality! So here's a small haul of the things I brought from elf. These purchases were a couple of weeks apart. Both of these purchases also included free shipping with no minimum. I jumped on this opportunity quick.

Shadow Lock Eyelid Primer
There's only two eye primers I like and that's the elf eyelid primer and NYX eyeshadow base. Would you count this base as an eye primer? Anyway, I ran out of this eyelid primer so I brought two. It only costs $2 each so if I ran out I can move on to the next one. The color comes in sheer, but it won't affect how your eyeshadow looks. When I first tried this I worried about this. But it does not make a difference at all.

Long Wear Lip Liner Pencil (Bitter)
Fall is here and I love dark purples and reds. So I cannot wait to try this lip liner in the color bitter. It looks burgundy but I will have to swatch and actually see it. This lip pencil glides on to prep the lips for color. The pro vitamin complex included helps gently lock in rich, natural looking lip color. I'm really excited to try this out.

Lip & Cheek Duo Stick (Rose) Matte and Shimmer
Until recently when reading a few blogs, I didn't know anything about a lip & cheek duo stick. I love how one side provides a shimmer look and the other a matte look. It gives you the option of what you want to wear that day. So I can't wait to try this!

I hope you enjoyed reading and if you have any new items I should check out, let me know!

Helpful Posts/Sites For Bloggers

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. While in a blogging rut I came across a lot of posts that have helped me gain confidence. These posts also helped me realize my creativity; all I needed to do was use my noggin! But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

Finding My Passion For Blogging Again

At some point in time, when your heart isn’t into something you should take a break. Blogging is great and I couldn’t see myself without it. However sometimes it can get overwhelming and that’s what happened to me this year. For about eight months I have not blogged and I thought I was a bad person for that. I have realized that it was best to take the long break. In doing so, I have found so many things I love to talk about. I was holding myself back because I put a label on myself, wanting to be known as a beauty blogger. Sure I attached the lifestyle part, but honestly I don’t really know what that means.  During this year I had time to reflect on where I wanted my blog to go and whether I even wanted to write anymore. Honestly the motivation to blog was not there at all and at that time, I really didn’t care if I continued. I did not want to look at my blog or deal with it. For me I was tired of putting in the work and not getting anything in return. Meaning no ...
