Top 5 Spring Nail Polish!

To get into the spirit of Spring here's my Top 5 polishes for Springtime!  One of my favorite brands is NYC. I am so obsessed, they have so many pretty colors. These polishes are of great quality, but also very inexpensive. They range from $1 to $2. My first is not from NYC, but it's such a pretty color! All of these polishes last a long time. Mine usually lasts for a week, which is really good for me. Fresh Paint: Pinkapalooza I am obsessed with this color. It's a very light pink and you only need 2 coats to apply. This color is very versatile and can be worn at anytime. NYC: Prospect Park Bloom This color is a really pretty color. It's creamy and it applies very well. If you want to know more checkout a previous post of mine here: My Current Favorite Nail Polish NYC: Preppy Pink I am not really into bright colors such as this preppy pink. Pantene Pro-V: Repair & Protect Shampoo and Conditioner

The Pantene Pro-V Repair and Protect with Keratin Protection Shampoo and Conditioner is supposed to fix hair damage. These two products help reduce protein loss, to achieve healthy and strong hair. Our hair is partially made of protein and keratin, so it's very important for your hair to be protected. It's said that this shampoo and conditioner will repair damaged hair by restoring smoothness, shine, and manageability.   Over this past weekend my mom needed some new shampoo and conditioner because she didn't have any. She asked me to help her choose which one looked good. I decided this one should be worth it. After watching YouTube videos and reading a lot about hair Keratin is vital to our hair. While at home I was looking through People magazine and found the shampoo and conditioner my mom got from the store. For some strange reason I was pretty excited to find this in the magazine. So this has to be the real deal right? Even though I stopped using sulfate sha

Two Great Olive Oil products

If your like me, your hair thrives for moisture. Most people experience dry, dull, and brittle hair. In the past my hair has dealt with breakage, but no need to worry this can be fixed. A lot of products can help with providing moisture like: leave-in conditioners, hair creams, and olive oil products like the two in this post. In previous posts I have talked about olive oil products and how they work. But not a lot of people realize how important this is for our hair. You do not have to use these products. Using regular olive oil from the grocery store can work just as good.      The ORS Olive Oil hair cream is extra rich for dry thirsty hair. Using this will give your hair the life it should have. This includes a vitamin rich cream that helps strengthen and moisturize the hair while adding shine and softness to the hair. One of the best things about this product is that it absorbs quickly and there is no residue left.     The Olive Oil Shine Moisturizer includes vitam

Beauty Tips for Nighttime

At night we tend to forget easy but important tips, because we're so tired. I am here to remind that the small things matter too! So keep reading for these quick simple nighttime tips. 1. Sleep on a satin pillow or wear a satin scarf or bonnet - this will reduce breakage and keep hair healthy and strong. 2. After moisturizing your feet put socks on - this will lock in moisture. 3. Use baby oil to remove makeup - In previous posts I had alternatives like Olive oil and Vaseline. So baby oil is another great substitute. 4. Protect your ends (braids, bun, scarf, etc...) - leaving your ends unprotected can create split ends and breakage. I hope you enjoyed reading! What nighttime beauty tips do you follow?

Palmer's Olive Oil Hair Mousse

When I think of hair mousse, I think of something that has a thick consistency and feels really sticky. But that is not the case. This quickly disappears into the skin and it does not leave any sticky feeling.  Palmers Olive Oil hair mousse contains Vitamin E which is great for source for healthy hair. Another important component of this product is Keratin protein. This ensures your hair is healthy and strong. One of the best things about this, is there are no sulfates nor parabens. Sulfates are known stripping the hair of its natural oils. Another good thing is this is alcohol free.  Most of us unfortunately deal with frizzy hair. Luckily with this hair mousse our frizz prone hair is eliminated. During the winter months or all year long hair tends to break. This will prevent breakage and help to strengthen the hair. Usually with hair products that are foam or thick leave dry flakes in the hair. No one wants their hair to look like they've just come out of a  snow stor

DIY: Body Scrub/ Exfoliator

I am very excited because this is my first DIY! I thought a body scrub would be perfect to share. Most times body scrubs cost an arm and a leg. So I decided to make my own. The most popular homemade scrub has brown sugar and olive oil. Before I used it, I wanted to do my research to know why this sugar was great to use. I went on livestrong  to do my research. During my research I was surprised to find out that brown sugar was not just used for foods and desserts. Brown sugar is the softer sugar, which makes it a great component for the skin. It's strong enough to eliminate those dead skin cells that maybe left after a shower or a bath. Olive Oil is great for the skin as it is use to soften the skin and lock in the moisture. That's why people use it for their skin and hair. It's very easy to make and both ingredients compliment each other! Ingredients: - 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar - 1/4 cup of Olive Oil - A spoon for mixing - A mason jar or use a container. A

Calgon: take me away body cream

In my previous blog posts I have talked about lotions that are great for making dry skin feel soft and moisturized. Here's the links if you want to check them out: Cocoa Butter Lotion & Vaseline: Total Moisture. I have another great lotion to talk about and it is definitely a favorite of mine. The Calgon body cream is enriched with Shea butter, aloe, and Vitamin E. These 3 ingredients are important for this lotion. It ensures your skin is moisturized and full of nourishment. It softens dry and rough skin, so you can have a long- lasting moisturized skin. It's very easy to apply to the skin. Most importantly, it quickly absorbs into the skin without leaving a greasy feeling. You can then achieve silky smooth skin all day. It comes in the flavor of Tahitian Orchid, which smells really good. I feel like I'm on an Island with coconuts and palm trees. It is very refreshing and this lotion makes your skin feel so soft.

The Garnier Fructis frizz oil is custom blended with Amla & Jojoba oil. It smooths and tames frizzy, unruly hair. You can use this in 5 ways to instantly transform your hair. This will leave your hair feeling shiny without leaving a greasy residue. I think this is great! I mean who wants to feel greasy and sticky after applying this product to the hair. Another good thing about this oil, is the many ways you can use this!     1. Pre- Shampoo Treatment Apply to wet or dry hair before shampooing to prime hair for gentle cleansing.   2. Conditioner Booster Add 1 to 2 drops to conditioner to improve detangling.   3. Blow- Dry Accelerator Apply to damp hair to dry faster than a conditioning cream leave- in.   4. New Month = Fresh Start!

Happy April everyone! Not only is it a brand new day, it's also a new moth. That means we all get a fresh start. So far this year has been pretty ok for me. I have had some opportunities that have been great! I am feeling good and at the start of this month, I'm determined more than ever. Blogging is apart of me, it has been for almost 3 years. I am not just a beauty blogger. I'm also a lifestyle blogger. Which means that I will post a lot more of things that I enjoy.
