Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Usually I see comments on beauty videos of people saying I want that product. I didn't think about those things a few years ago watching YouTube. But now I think about wanting products I see in videos. Does that make any sense? One of my favorite people to watch is Jaclyn Hill. Her videos are great, she's funny, and keeps it real! While watching her Envious Mermaid tutorial about 4 months ago, I fell in love with three Eye shadows she used. Their names might have persuaded me a little more. So after some thought I decided to purchase them. MakeupGeek.com is an online store that sells makeup, brushes, and more. This site is very popular, so I knew I had to hurry and buy it before those eye shadows were sold out. I am so glad I did. These colors are so pretty! Dirty Martini is a matte color, while Envy and Mermaid have more of a shimmer. These colors are very pigmented, so they will show up really well on the eyelid. I have started practicing with these eye shadow

BH Cosmetics Eyebrow Tweezer

Going to get your brows waxed costs money, so with that being said I rather do my own. Although I am not a professional I think I can manage. I do not wax my eyebrows. To be honest I have never waxed or tried to wax my brows. If you're like me in the department of not waxing, you find other ways to style (fix) your brows. For me I have only tried two products; one will be in this post and the other is linked here: Brow kit !     I have learned to love my brows just the way they are. But they do deserve to pampered at the same time. If I have a few eyebrow hairs that do not belong, I want something quick and easy to fix this. That is why I have my bh cosmetics eyebrow tweezer. I have written a few posts on bh cosmetics products, but I am not affiliated with them in any way. I just simply love their products because its still high quality products, but at a cheaper price. This is great because not everyone wants to spend a lot or are maybe on a budget! The bh cosmeti

Rimmel London lipstick: Kate Moss!

One thing I am sure, is not being a lipstick person. It's not that I do not like the colors or the lipstick itself, I just do not think I look right with it on. I see a lot of videos and blogs talking about different lipsticks and I'm like those colors are gorgeous. But it probably will not look the same on me. About two weeks ago I went to Walmart, I wanted to get new nail polish but I ended up getting lipstick. Like I said before I do not wear lipstick, I wear lipgloss or chapstick. So anyways I was in the lipstick section for a while. They had so many pretty colors and I chose red. I guess I chose this color, because its very popular! This is a Rimmel London lipstick created by Kate Moss. This is the first time I have tried their products and I must say I am impressed! This is the 1st lipstick collection created by her and it's exciting. Kate Moss is a fashion model icon, so this inspired me to get the lipstick. The Lasting Finish collection comes in 9

Share the Love Sunday!

This post is going to be a short one today. I decided to write this because I thought it might help bloggers (beauty, life, and fashion). I even want to help YouTubers.  I decided to do a Share the love post. The blogging and YouTube world are big, so there are a lot people that might feel they are not noticed or their overlooked. I know I have felt that way sometimes. So with this share the love post, I want everyone to share their links with me and other people. I believe everyone deserves a chance. The whole purpose of this post is for everyone to meet new bloggers, new YouTubers, and have the opportunity to checkout their blog or channel. The blogging community is great, but sometimes a lot of blogs and channels get over looked. So if you have a blog or channel leave your links down below. I love supporting others, everyone deserves the chance to be seen.  *Checkout each others blog or channel. You never know, you might have something in common with another blogger o

Dry Shampoo: Does it really work?

Dry shampoo is suppose to be a substitute for the regular shampoo. But does it really work. Now everyone is different. What may work for me or you, may not work for someone else. So in this post I will talk about two dry shampoo products. My mom had brought these two to try on her hair, so I wanted to try it on my hair too. Both were at separate times, because one didn't really work. The other one didn't really do anything either. The first dry shampoo is Suave professionals Keratin infusion. It works on all hair types. Which is a great thing. This product says that this dry shampoo is formulated with Keralock Technology contains keratin and absorbs oils to help clean hair. Leaving your hair feeling smooth, refreshed, and manageable between your regular hair washes. As I am reading this my mom and I are saying it would be good to try. You can use this on dry hair or just washed hair for extra volume.  I have use this on my own hair a couple of times and I have used th

Burt's Bees: Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme

I received this cuticle crème product as a giveaway gift about two years ago. Before then I have not tried any thing from Burt's Bees. I wanted to try their lip products, but I did not get around to it. The Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Crème is a soothing blend of natural ingredients that treats dry cuticles, brittle nails and chapped, cracked fingertips. In order to see a difference in your nails and fingertips, you need to massage into and around your nails nightly. I have not used this product enough to see a difference yet, but I can tell you that I am going to start using this regularly!   The smell of this crème is lemon, but to give you an exact idea it smells like lemon heads! It actually smells really good and it feels so soft. You do not need a whole lot to apply to your nails/cuticles. A little goes along way! Even though it's a crème it feels like a moisturizer for your nails. It also keeps your cuticles hydrated. This is a good thing, because w

5 ways to use Vaseline!

Vaseline is one product that can be used for a lot of things. I am sure the possibilities for Vaseline are endless, but here are my 5 ways to use this! It is said that Vaseline is not even a moisturizer, but I think otherwise and I am sure of you do as well. I mean why else would we use it? Why was it even created? 1. Lips I use Vaseline all year long. But for the colder months a head Vaseline is your best friend. Having chapped lips during the cold seasons are not the best. Sometimes having chapped lips can even be painful, but don't worry because Vaseline helps with this problem. This keeps your lips moist. 2. Hair Although it's said that Vaseline is good for keeping your hair moisturized, I have not tried this method before. But what I use this for is to tame the baby hairs. This works great! You can use a brush, to brush down the hairs. You can even use a toothbrush that was not being used, it may sound weird but apparently it works for people. Most of

Eyeliner is a girl's bestfriend!

If you had to chose only one makeup product to keep, what would it be? For me it would be eyeliner! The reason I chose this is, because eyeliner was the first makeup product I've ever worn. I do have makeup (eye shadows) that I've practiced with and worn outside before. I even did my own prom makeup before but, that's not the point. Basically nothing could replace my love for my eyeliners! I'm a simple kind of girl, so eyeliner is just the pop of color I need for my eyes to stand out! I do have the basic color black, but I also have colors that stand out. I did a post on a eyeliner set, here's the link:  Eyeliner set . Colors Pictured : White Silver Glimmering Dark Gray Deep Copper Green NYC Black eyeliner (Did not come with this set) I still have this set of eyeliner, although I have lost two colors, my blue and black. I always replace my black eyeliner, because it's the most basic color and because I lost the one from my set! I am looking t

What Blogging Has Taught Me

What have you learned from your blogging experience? I have learned so much from blogging, but these are the 4 most important things . 1. Patience -Things do not happen overnight. This is one thing I had to learn the hard way. To be honest I am still struggling. But I am learning that I will get to where I want to be as long as I keep working hard. 2. Be yourself - If you do not learn anything from blogging, remember that being yourself is most important. If you can't be yourself, then what's the point. I understand if you may feel intimidated or scared. Sometimes if someone feels that way, they put on an act and pretend to be someone else. I am here to tell you it's ok to have those feelings. It's also ok to be yourself. Everyone is different and to me that's the best thing about blogging. We are all unique, because every blogger is different. Different posts, different styles, likes and dislikes. 3. Blogging does not have to be boring -Blogging ca

5 Tips for Healthy Hair!

1. Stop using sulfate Shampoos and Conditioners. - Sulfates are not good for your hair. They strip your hair of its natural oils and then it becomes dry and brittle. There's plenty of sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. So you do not have to worry about dropping your favorite brands. One brand that definitely has sulfate free stuff is L'Oreal! 2. This tip has two parts! Wash your hair with warm water/ rinse with cold. -While washing your hair, use warm water not hot. Using hot warm can be damaging and unhealthy for your hair. It causes split ends and on top of that makes your hair very frizzy. No one likes frizzy hair, especially me. When rinsing your hair for the final time, use cold water. This will lock in the moisture. 3.  Moisturize. -Moisturizing your hair is very important. This is to ensure that your hair doesn't become dry and break off. Oils and leave in creams will definitely do the trick, you just have to fine what works for you! Some good

Base vs Primer

This post is a short one, but I thought I would share my opinion about these 2 products. I've had both for two years now. When I brought them it was not at the same time. I purchased an extra NYX eye shadow base because it was on sale at Sears. I believe I purchased the elf eyelid primer from Target. -A quick note about the elf primer, it's not this color. It's darker, but my camera did not pick up on it. The nyx eye base is the color I chose, there are more choices to choose from. NYX: An eye shadow base and an eyelid primer are meant to keep your  makeup lasting all day. But there is a difference. Honestly I really didn't think it was a difference, but I guess the name eye shadow base and eyelid primer makes it obvious! The difference is that although the base helps keep the eye shadow on for a long time it also makes the eye shadow vibrant and the color pops. I've heard that a base does not prevent creasing all the time. In my opinion, I love the NY

My first ever brushes!

Two years ago on my 21st birthday I went to Ulta and brought my first brushes. I was so excited! Even though I wasn't a makeup artist I felt very professional. I am sure all of you know about the eye shadow applicators that come with makeup. There is nothing wrong with anyone using them, but for me every time I used one it would either break or irritate my eye.   I wrote about these brushes briefly in my birthday haul. But I decided to talk about these a little bit more. Included in this 5 piece Bamboo brush set is: Lash and Brow groomer, Eyeliner brush, Eye shading brush, Concealer brush, Blush brush, and a bag for the brushes to go in. Because the concealer brush is very similar to the eye shading brush, I would use it as another eye shadow brush. Sometimes I would even use it as a blending brush. The best part about this set is the fact that the bristles of the brushes is cruelty free. These are also eco- friendly! I think this set is great for beginners. This includes t

Goals As A Blogger!

I've been blogging for 2 years now and I really enjoy it. I will admit that I have not been the most consistent blogger, but changes like setbacks and loss made me feel sad and discouraged. I'll admit I have  given up sometimes. But during the times where I've given up or took a break, or when my 1st computer broke I had a lot time to reflect and think. So I decided to set goals for myself as a blogger. So here is my list! 1. Never give up! The world of blogging is hard, but if I stop every time I'm discouraged I'm not going to get where I want to. 2. Blog more frequently. I like blogging, because I get to share the things I like with you all. I will admit I get lazy with blogging. I am still trying to work on it.  3. Schedule posts. Now this is the easiest goal. All I have to do it set a time and day! 4. Write a lot of posts in advance. I am working on this goal right now. Hopefully I can stick to this goal. As of now I have publish
