Wednesday's Health/Beauty Tips: Tea is healthy

This post is short and sweet and gets to the point! I was not ever a fan of tea, matter of fact any kind of tea. It tasted bitter and for me it was unbareble. So when I heard of Green tea, I thought it would probably taste worst. But I will admit I was wrong I really enjoy it. Not the regular kind of tea, the green kind. I drink the peach flavor which, in my opinion tastes really really good! There is also a Lemon ginger herb tea that I have to try. Also both teas are from the same brand Bigelow. This green tea is high in antioxidants and has no calories. Even better, no carbs or fat. It's also gluten free. This tea or any tea cleanses the body of bad toxins and when I drink this tea, I feel refreshed. I have not tried the Lemon ginger tea, but I hear it tastes really. It is on my kitchen table, but I wasn't sure whether I should try it. This tea supports healthy digestion, so that's a plus for me. The tea bag smells good, so I am positive the tea in general wi

All about my Olive Oil

I love trying out different hair products, I mean that is the only way to see which works for me. One thing about my hair is that it get frizzy in humid weather. As soon as I step out the door in this kind of weather, my hair frizzes in a matter of seconds. The Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Anti-Frizz Glossing Polisher and Nourishing Sheen Spray works well. Everytime I do my hair I will use this after. I am so suprised it works, because normally anti-frizz products do not work well with me. I LOVE IT! This Anti-Frizz polisher is amazing, it provides shine to your hair and it keeps your hair from getting frizzy. It's formulated to withstand humidity while leaving a healthy shine to your hair. This formula is a blend of silicones and natural oils including the essence of Olive, Abyssinian, and Coconut oil. This infuses the hair with shine and moisture. -Provides healthy shine -Protects from humidity -Controls fly-away hair   If I am not using the polisher, I will

A Healthier Me: Ways I've improved my eating habits

On my journey to become a healthier me I have improved the ingredients I cook with. These are ways that have helped me. This is my opinion only and this is how I feel. If you want to check out my post on a healthier me, click the link here A Healthier Me   . Improving your eating habits or the amount you eat, can make a big difference. For me it did not happen all at once, it took me sometime to realize that the things I enjoyed were not so good for me. I use to love junk food and that was my problem, not a serious one though. I have not completely cut it though. For example, I don't really like chips anymore (I haven't ate them in a while) cookies not so much either. 1. I use Unbleached flour instead of Bleached flour- Everytime I bake I use Unbleached flour, I use to Bleached because I didn't think their was a difference. But one day I decided to make to make pizza dough and the ingredients called for bread flour or unbleached would do. So I researched the differ

Wednesday's Health/Beauty Tips

This is the first post in my Wednesday's Health/Beauty Tips series!  Everyone wants healthy looking hair and skin, I know I do. Doing research and using my common sense, I came up with some tips that will help you and me! Before I continue I will say that there are a lot of people who do not take supplements and that is fine. Supplements are just a boost, their are plenty of foods that have what you need. The only supplement I have used is Biotin. For healthy looking skin and hair here's a few tips: -Make Protein apart of your life! Protein are in a lot of foods like poultry (chicken, turkey, etc...), eggs, fish, and nuts. "When your body doesn't get enough protein, it preserves existing protein by shifting hair growth into the resting phase, which halts growth and results in noticeable hair loss". For more information here's the link.  http://www.livestrong.com/article/442851-protein-for-healthy-hair/ -Make you consume Biotin ! Bioti

My dream of being a Fashion Designer

I am currently a Psychology major and you are probably wondering what does this have to do with fashion, but you will find out soon! I am fascinated with the field of Psychology and if fashion didn't workout for me, I needed a back up plan. I have a "Passion for Fashion" and this is what I was made to do, I just know it. Becoming a fashion designer has always been a dream of mine, since I was about 9 years old. I know what you're probably thinking and yes I was actually 9. One day I was watching an episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and during the show these beautiful models came out wearing these gorgeous designer dresses. I remember thinking to myself these are amazing and that same day I started sketching dresses! At first I would try to imitate the dresses I saw on the television, but as I got older I started sketching clothes from my own ideas. I am pretty good at sketching wedding dresses and that is my passion and that is my focus. Fashion des

Tips on Stress Management

Before you continue reading please note that this is only my opinion. Many of us deal with stress. The stress can be from: work, school, bills, relationships or whatever. This post is important because stress is not healthy. Stress can cause headaches, believe me I know. I am always over thinking and over analyzing situatons. Sometimes that is fine and other times it is not ok. I have to learn to be more chill and laid back. Stress does not happen on purpose and sadly it will probably be there for a long time. So this post will be about tips to manage stress. These tips are only my opinion. Take time for yourself to relax- Everyone needs time for themselves to relax and reevaluate. It could be going shopping, taking a nap, going to the hair and nail salon, or whatever makes you happy! Meditate- When you get up in the morning, before you start your day stop and take time to meditate and prepare for the day ahead of you. If you are feeling upset or angry , stop and take

Hair products I will repurchase from the month of April

Right now these are the only hair products I will repurchase from the month of April! These are my favorite go to hair products, that I have been using for a while now. Each product plays a key role for my hair and I couldn't see myself changing up products, anytime soon! Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray Image via Google   My favorite product to use when I am using a straightener or flat iron is the "Tresemme Heat Tamer Spray". This spray is used by professionals. It styles and protects your hair. I am in love with this spray because it is sure to help your hair, it helps keep mine protected. Garnier Fructis Style Sleek and Shine Blow Dry Perfector Straightening Balm Image via Google This product works great for my hair. It literally straightens my hair, so I do not always need to use a straightener or flat iron. For my hair it works wonders because I have thick hair and it is coarse. I do not know about any of you, but my hair gets frizzy a lot so t
