5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Starting A Blog

This year will be six years of blogging for me and I still feel like I’m just starting. Back when I first decided to blog, it wasn’t as popular as it is now. I had no one to talk to for advice. There wasn’t really any post on how to start a blog and if there was, I didn’t know about it. I’m not one to really give advice on what to, I can only share my experience and hopefully you’ll learn a better way to do things. I do have some things I wished I would have known when it comes to blogging, but I don’t regret them because it helped me become better. So here are the five things I wish I that I knew before blogging!  Promoting Your Blog  I remember when I first started blogging, I had no clue what I was doing. To be honest I was so consumed with views and numbers. But who isn’t when you first start blogging? I wanted people to read what I had to say and the things that interests me. I didn’t realize that promoting your blog, was the key to get views and comments. I don’t kno

44 Thoughts While At The Movie Theater

Is it me or does a million thoughts run in your mind, when you are out in public? When for me the movie theater is the worse. I'm constantly thinking about seats, germs and most of all the noise. So I decided to share the thoughts I have while at the movies and maybe you have them too!   Why is the line so long, don't people have anything else to do. Hopefully by the time I get in front of the line my movie won't be sold out. I haven't been to the movies in a while, is it still the same price. What snacks should I get. Will I look like a pig if I get every kind of candy. Oh, I can't forget about the popcorn.  Of course I need something to drink with my popcorn. I want something to wash down all that salt.  Finally I'm almost in the front of the line.  Why are people staring at me, is there something on my face.  This movie is rated r do I have my id with me, what if I don't.  It's my turn now, thank goodness.  Crap I sho

Blushed Neutrals Palette By BH Cosmetics!

Before I continue I just want to say how positive and focused I’ve been so far this year. I’m almost ready to conquer the world right now, sort of. This post is a new one but an old one if that makes sense. I’ve had these pictures for about a year ready to use for this first impressions review, but I wasn’t in the blogging mood at the time. So anyway, if you’ve been reading my blog for awhile or this is your first time I love BH Cosmetics. Their products are affordable and made of good quality, especially their eye shadow palettes!    The palette in this “swatch review” is the Blushed Neutrals Palette by Bh Cosmetics. This is 26 color eye shadow and blushes that includes 3 finishes: Matte, Shimmer and Satin! I love Neutral eye shadow, not only are they pretty but these are simple and not over the top loud. So this would be great for a more subtle look.  Row 1: This row of colors are really pretty, they are very vibrant. It gives that pop of color and shimmer to make any

9 Guilty Pleasures

We all have those guilty pleasures that just won't go away. So I decided to share 9 of my guilty pleasures with you. Some of these are a habit I just can get rid of. Others have become apart of my routine!    Cracking My Knuckles:  This is a habit I've had for a long time. I can't help cracking my knuckles, actually it's pretty soothing for me. I find myself doing this without me realizing it. Depending on my mood, whether I'm upset or nervous I crack knuckles.    Washing My Hands Constantly:  I guess you can say I don't like germs. It's like every few minutes I'm washing my hands. I don't even have to touch anything.    YouTube Videos:  I'm obsessed with watching YouTube videos and I can watch them for hours. It's like one video leads to another. Some of my favorite channels are vlogs, beauty, food and comedy!    Comic Book Movies:  I love comic book movies and I'm pretty sure I've watched most of them. I c

Tips For Natural Hair During The Winter

If you’re someone with natural hair you understand the struggles we go through during the Winter time. Our hair goes through constant phases and sometimes our hair routine changes. For me it feels like during the Winter I have to change up my whole routine. But over the past four years, I’ve learned what works and does not work for my hair. I also learned about natural hair in general, so I decided share some tips to get you through the Winter season.  Protective Hairstyles  Every now and then it’s important to give your hair a much needed break. From all the stress the hair has gone through, whether you have straightened once in awhile or combing it’s time to put your hair in an untouchable hairstyle. There are so many options out there like: braids, twists, faux locs, and wigs!  Moisturize If you’re like me then your hair tends to get dry during Winter and Summer. It’s crucial to keep the hair moisturized, because it’s more re prone to being brittle and eventually

Here's To 2018

Happy New Year everyone! I know what you’re thinking, “she’s days late”. But I’ve gone through some life lessons and I wasn’t ready to start blogging again. Last year was not the best for me and I’ve seen it was wasn’t for a lot of other people as well. Blogging wasn’t something I was into last year, I just didn’t want to force. I was not confident in my photos and which made my confidence go down. To be honest I had 10 posts in my draft ready to go, but what use is that without a picture. Anyway this year is a fresh start for me and I’m very optimistic and positive that this year will be a good one. For Christmas I got a planner and I’ve wrote down all my goals I want to accomplish by the end of this year. For once I wrote down blog posts I’m uploading for 3 months, that’s definitely a first. In the past I’ve said I don’t need a planner and it’s ok to go against the grain and not be an organized blogger. Today I will admit that that’s not working for me anymore and it’s import
