Olive Miracle: Leave-in Conditioner

Today this post is going to be about a product I've been loving lately. So maybe after you read this you will love it too! My mom brought this to use for her hair. But if any of you are like me, anything mom gets I want it to! Right now I have a hair routine so I have not used this yet, but I do use this on my sister's hair. This is the Olive Miracle, Leave-Conditioner. It's an Anti- breakage formula, that is used as a Daily Treatment and Hair Strengthener.   The Olive Oil Leave-in Conditioner is enriched with extra virgin olive oil. It protects hair from damage while strengthening the hair for a healthier look. This daily treatment leave -in moisturizes the hair and it helps repair dry, brittle, damaged hair. Since this is a daily treatment you can use this on dry hair. Do not rinse out and after that, you can style your hair as usual. You can also use this on wet hair after: shampooing, relaxing, perming, curling or coloring. But make sure you read the instruct

Winter Nail Polish

This is a short post on my favorite nail polishes, that are great to wear in the winter! I like to wear darker colors in the winter. Actually I like dark colors throughout the whole year. But I made an exception for two polishes. For me I either like light nail polish or dark polish, there is no in between. But for awhile now I've been liking red nail polish or anything in that spectrum of red. So here is a list of my favorite polishes to wear! I will admit that the names of these polishes are very persuasive to me. The polishes stay on awhile. For me it lasts for about a week to 2 weeks. I am crazy about my nails so if it chips I will take the polish off and put it on again. Is that crazy?   So anyway, here's my list:   Spoiled: Pick Your Poison Red (Shimmer) Spoiled: I Don't Drink Cheap Wine Deep Purple (Shimmer)     NYC: Wine Bar (Magenta Color) NYC: Plaza Plumberry Dark Purple (Darker than the I Don't Drink Cheap Wine Polish)

My Favorite Candles

About a week ago on twitter I asked if anyone would be interested in a candle collaboration post and three lovely bloggers responded. We decided that the collaboration would be more interesting if all four of us did this together. It is always nice to meet new bloggers and share different or similar interests we have. So I was excited to do this collab post! These bloggers are unique and have their own style of blogging which is nice! So be sure to check out their blog and collab post here:  Cece , Rachael Claire , and  Charlotte . Since it's fall, and winter will be here soon, candles are a must. At least for me it is, I love candles! As soon as I light the candles, I can smell the scent immediately. Sometimes I have more than one lit. I choose specific candles to light depending on the mood I'm in. Does anyone else feel that way too? Candles are calming and relaxing. The time I light candles the most is around 7pm or 8 pm. On the candle it says it is only supposed to st

Makeup Geek Eyeshadows

Usually I see comments on beauty videos of people saying I want that product. I didn't think about those things a few years ago watching YouTube. But now I think about wanting products I see in videos. Does that make any sense? One of my favorite people to watch is Jaclyn Hill. Her videos are great, she's funny, and keeps it real! While watching her Envious Mermaid tutorial about 4 months ago, I fell in love with three Eye shadows she used. Their names might have persuaded me a little more. So after some thought I decided to purchase them. MakeupGeek.com is an online store that sells makeup, brushes, and more. This site is very popular, so I knew I had to hurry and buy it before those eye shadows were sold out. I am so glad I did. These colors are so pretty! Dirty Martini is a matte color, while Envy and Mermaid have more of a shimmer. These colors are very pigmented, so they will show up really well on the eyelid. I have started practicing with these eye shadow

BH Cosmetics Eyebrow Tweezer

Going to get your brows waxed costs money, so with that being said I rather do my own. Although I am not a professional I think I can manage. I do not wax my eyebrows. To be honest I have never waxed or tried to wax my brows. If you're like me in the department of not waxing, you find other ways to style (fix) your brows. For me I have only tried two products; one will be in this post and the other is linked here: Brow kit !     I have learned to love my brows just the way they are. But they do deserve to pampered at the same time. If I have a few eyebrow hairs that do not belong, I want something quick and easy to fix this. That is why I have my bh cosmetics eyebrow tweezer. I have written a few posts on bh cosmetics products, but I am not affiliated with them in any way. I just simply love their products because its still high quality products, but at a cheaper price. This is great because not everyone wants to spend a lot or are maybe on a budget! The bh cosmeti

Rimmel London lipstick: Kate Moss!

One thing I am sure, is not being a lipstick person. It's not that I do not like the colors or the lipstick itself, I just do not think I look right with it on. I see a lot of videos and blogs talking about different lipsticks and I'm like those colors are gorgeous. But it probably will not look the same on me. About two weeks ago I went to Walmart, I wanted to get new nail polish but I ended up getting lipstick. Like I said before I do not wear lipstick, I wear lipgloss or chapstick. So anyways I was in the lipstick section for a while. They had so many pretty colors and I chose red. I guess I chose this color, because its very popular! This is a Rimmel London lipstick created by Kate Moss. This is the first time I have tried their products and I must say I am impressed! This is the 1st lipstick collection created by her and it's exciting. Kate Moss is a fashion model icon, so this inspired me to get the lipstick. The Lasting Finish collection comes in 9

Share the Love Sunday!

This post is going to be a short one today. I decided to write this because I thought it might help bloggers (beauty, life, and fashion). I even want to help YouTubers.  I decided to do a Share the love post. The blogging and YouTube world are big, so there are a lot people that might feel they are not noticed or their overlooked. I know I have felt that way sometimes. So with this share the love post, I want everyone to share their links with me and other people. I believe everyone deserves a chance. The whole purpose of this post is for everyone to meet new bloggers, new YouTubers, and have the opportunity to checkout their blog or channel. The blogging community is great, but sometimes a lot of blogs and channels get over looked. So if you have a blog or channel leave your links down below. I love supporting others, everyone deserves the chance to be seen.  *Checkout each others blog or channel. You never know, you might have something in common with another blogger o

Dry Shampoo: Does it really work?

Dry shampoo is suppose to be a substitute for the regular shampoo. But does it really work. Now everyone is different. What may work for me or you, may not work for someone else. So in this post I will talk about two dry shampoo products. My mom had brought these two to try on her hair, so I wanted to try it on my hair too. Both were at separate times, because one didn't really work. The other one didn't really do anything either. The first dry shampoo is Suave professionals Keratin infusion. It works on all hair types. Which is a great thing. This product says that this dry shampoo is formulated with Keralock Technology contains keratin and absorbs oils to help clean hair. Leaving your hair feeling smooth, refreshed, and manageable between your regular hair washes. As I am reading this my mom and I are saying it would be good to try. You can use this on dry hair or just washed hair for extra volume.  I have use this on my own hair a couple of times and I have used th

Burt's Bees: Lemon Butter Cuticle Creme

I received this cuticle crème product as a giveaway gift about two years ago. Before then I have not tried any thing from Burt's Bees. I wanted to try their lip products, but I did not get around to it. The Burt's Bees Lemon Butter Cuticle Crème is a soothing blend of natural ingredients that treats dry cuticles, brittle nails and chapped, cracked fingertips. In order to see a difference in your nails and fingertips, you need to massage into and around your nails nightly. I have not used this product enough to see a difference yet, but I can tell you that I am going to start using this regularly!   The smell of this crème is lemon, but to give you an exact idea it smells like lemon heads! It actually smells really good and it feels so soft. You do not need a whole lot to apply to your nails/cuticles. A little goes along way! Even though it's a crème it feels like a moisturizer for your nails. It also keeps your cuticles hydrated. This is a good thing, because w

5 ways to use Vaseline!

Vaseline is one product that can be used for a lot of things. I am sure the possibilities for Vaseline are endless, but here are my 5 ways to use this! It is said that Vaseline is not even a moisturizer, but I think otherwise and I am sure of you do as well. I mean why else would we use it? Why was it even created? 1. Lips I use Vaseline all year long. But for the colder months a head Vaseline is your best friend. Having chapped lips during the cold seasons are not the best. Sometimes having chapped lips can even be painful, but don't worry because Vaseline helps with this problem. This keeps your lips moist. 2. Hair Although it's said that Vaseline is good for keeping your hair moisturized, I have not tried this method before. But what I use this for is to tame the baby hairs. This works great! You can use a brush, to brush down the hairs. You can even use a toothbrush that was not being used, it may sound weird but apparently it works for people. Most of

Eyeliner is a girl's bestfriend!

If you had to chose only one makeup product to keep, what would it be? For me it would be eyeliner! The reason I chose this is, because eyeliner was the first makeup product I've ever worn. I do have makeup (eye shadows) that I've practiced with and worn outside before. I even did my own prom makeup before but, that's not the point. Basically nothing could replace my love for my eyeliners! I'm a simple kind of girl, so eyeliner is just the pop of color I need for my eyes to stand out! I do have the basic color black, but I also have colors that stand out. I did a post on a eyeliner set, here's the link:  Eyeliner set . Colors Pictured : White Silver Glimmering Dark Gray Deep Copper Green NYC Black eyeliner (Did not come with this set) I still have this set of eyeliner, although I have lost two colors, my blue and black. I always replace my black eyeliner, because it's the most basic color and because I lost the one from my set! I am looking t

What Blogging Has Taught Me

What have you learned from your blogging experience? I have learned so much from blogging, but these are the 4 most important things . 1. Patience -Things do not happen overnight. This is one thing I had to learn the hard way. To be honest I am still struggling. But I am learning that I will get to where I want to be as long as I keep working hard. 2. Be yourself - If you do not learn anything from blogging, remember that being yourself is most important. If you can't be yourself, then what's the point. I understand if you may feel intimidated or scared. Sometimes if someone feels that way, they put on an act and pretend to be someone else. I am here to tell you it's ok to have those feelings. It's also ok to be yourself. Everyone is different and to me that's the best thing about blogging. We are all unique, because every blogger is different. Different posts, different styles, likes and dislikes. 3. Blogging does not have to be boring -Blogging ca

5 Tips for Healthy Hair!

1. Stop using sulfate Shampoos and Conditioners. - Sulfates are not good for your hair. They strip your hair of its natural oils and then it becomes dry and brittle. There's plenty of sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. So you do not have to worry about dropping your favorite brands. One brand that definitely has sulfate free stuff is L'Oreal! 2. This tip has two parts! Wash your hair with warm water/ rinse with cold. -While washing your hair, use warm water not hot. Using hot warm can be damaging and unhealthy for your hair. It causes split ends and on top of that makes your hair very frizzy. No one likes frizzy hair, especially me. When rinsing your hair for the final time, use cold water. This will lock in the moisture. 3.  Moisturize. -Moisturizing your hair is very important. This is to ensure that your hair doesn't become dry and break off. Oils and leave in creams will definitely do the trick, you just have to fine what works for you! Some good

Base vs Primer

This post is a short one, but I thought I would share my opinion about these 2 products. I've had both for two years now. When I brought them it was not at the same time. I purchased an extra NYX eye shadow base because it was on sale at Sears. I believe I purchased the elf eyelid primer from Target. -A quick note about the elf primer, it's not this color. It's darker, but my camera did not pick up on it. The nyx eye base is the color I chose, there are more choices to choose from. NYX: An eye shadow base and an eyelid primer are meant to keep your  makeup lasting all day. But there is a difference. Honestly I really didn't think it was a difference, but I guess the name eye shadow base and eyelid primer makes it obvious! The difference is that although the base helps keep the eye shadow on for a long time it also makes the eye shadow vibrant and the color pops. I've heard that a base does not prevent creasing all the time. In my opinion, I love the NY

My first ever brushes!

Two years ago on my 21st birthday I went to Ulta and brought my first brushes. I was so excited! Even though I wasn't a makeup artist I felt very professional. I am sure all of you know about the eye shadow applicators that come with makeup. There is nothing wrong with anyone using them, but for me every time I used one it would either break or irritate my eye.   I wrote about these brushes briefly in my birthday haul. But I decided to talk about these a little bit more. Included in this 5 piece Bamboo brush set is: Lash and Brow groomer, Eyeliner brush, Eye shading brush, Concealer brush, Blush brush, and a bag for the brushes to go in. Because the concealer brush is very similar to the eye shading brush, I would use it as another eye shadow brush. Sometimes I would even use it as a blending brush. The best part about this set is the fact that the bristles of the brushes is cruelty free. These are also eco- friendly! I think this set is great for beginners. This includes t

Goals As A Blogger!

I've been blogging for 2 years now and I really enjoy it. I will admit that I have not been the most consistent blogger, but changes like setbacks and loss made me feel sad and discouraged. I'll admit I have  given up sometimes. But during the times where I've given up or took a break, or when my 1st computer broke I had a lot time to reflect and think. So I decided to set goals for myself as a blogger. So here is my list! 1. Never give up! The world of blogging is hard, but if I stop every time I'm discouraged I'm not going to get where I want to. 2. Blog more frequently. I like blogging, because I get to share the things I like with you all. I will admit I get lazy with blogging. I am still trying to work on it.  3. Schedule posts. Now this is the easiest goal. All I have to do it set a time and day! 4. Write a lot of posts in advance. I am working on this goal right now. Hopefully I can stick to this goal. As of now I have publish

BH Cosmetics: Think Pink!

I love looking on the BH Cosmetics site, they have so many wonderful products. So when I went on their site about two weeks ago, I saw this pink brush set for only $5. The main cause for this was for breast cancer awareness month and the sale lasted for three days. So on the first day when I saw this sale I was not sure about it. But when I saw it was for a good cause and the money would be donated to the Young Survival Coalition for young women with breast cancer, I decided to buy it. It was sold out by the last day. I ordered these brushes on Tuesday October 14 and received them on Saturday! Unfortunately this brush set is no longer available, it was only available for those three days. Included: 1. Eyebrow and lash spooley (Not Pictured) 2. Fine eyeliner brush 3. Angled eyebrow and liner brush 4. Tapered eyeliner and smudge brush 5. Small classic eye shadow brush 6. Large classic eye shadow brush 7. Angled eye shadow brush 8. Tapered fou

My Blog is turning 2!

Two years ago on October 19, when I started blogging I had no idea what I was doing. To be honest sometimes I still feel like I don't know. I have learned so much from this experience good and even bad. I've met so many wonderful bloggers and I've become friends with them too! I wanted to make YouTube videos, like any other girl. My first makeup inspiration was Dulce Candy from DulceCandy87 , she taught me how to put on eye makeup for beginners! Her channel really made me feel confident! I had been watching videos for a couple of years, so I thought it would be a good idea. But it was more difficult then I thought it would be. In the end I realized making videos was apparently not for me. Even though I was inspired by these videos, creating one myself was not something I could do. I was nervous and scared. But in the process of my decision I ended up making good friends. Some I still talk to often and others I have unfortunately lost touch with. We were really good frie

BH Cosmetics Neutral Palette!

Online shopping is not something I do often, but when I do it's a big deal for me. For months I've been eyeing the BH Cosmetics 88 color palette neutral eyeshadow. Why didn't I buy it then? The reason I did not is because I wanted to be sure it's what I truly wanted.   When shopping I don't buy something just for the sake of. So after months of staring at this palette on the computer I decided to finally get it. I purchased this online Sunday morning October 5 and I received it Wednesday afternoon October 8. I was so anxious it wasn't going to come early, so when I went to check the mail I was so excited to see it. By my reaction you would have thought it was Christmas! Before I continue, I will like to say that I brought this for an amazing deal. This palette is on sale for $11.95, the regular price is $24.95. The sale is still going on, but not just for this palette so go and check it out. Here's the link to the website: http://www.bhcosmetics.com

My Hair Care Routine: Shea Moisture Part 2

About a few months ago I talked about my current hair products that I am using. If you want to read the descriptions of each product here is the link: Current Hair Products . I am naturally a curly hair girl! I have not used any heat tools for a while now, except for a couple of times in the beginning of this year. I take better care of my hair as far as the kinds of products I use, and I actually have a hair care routine. That has not happened before, I usually used whatever shampoo and conditioner I saw. Well I actually was picky about the kind of brands I used. Like I would use Garnier Fructis, Tresemme , and the rarely L'Oreal. But I didn't really have a routine until a few months ago! First off I wash my hair once a week, sometimes twice. Step One. - Before I get in the shower I turn the water on. When washing your hair you do not want the water too hot. I've heard that If the water is hot that creates split ends and a lot of frizz. So makes sure it's wa

Gabbinggals Twitter Page

About two weeks ago, I talked about a new twitter chat called #gabbinggals. To quickly summarize this chat, we will talk about girl related things like: relationships, married and/or single life, issues we all deal, and more. This is positive friendly environment, we do not judge anybody here. We're just here to have girl talk. So anyway back to the real reason I am writing this blog post, is to talk about the twitter page we just created to go with this chat. At first we decided that we were not going to make a twitter page. Then with some thought we figured it will help us connect with you all easier. That way if you wanted to: talk, ask a question, give a topic suggestion you could by using the twitter handle @gabbinggals. As a reminder this chat will be every Friday at 3pm eastern (US time). But you can talk to us anytime you want to. The link is https://twitter.com/gabbinggals . So make sure you give us a follow.

Twitter Chat

A couple of months ago, for one of my monthly goals I wanted to create a twitter chat. Twitter chats are fun and you get to talk to new people all the time. But to me I have not seen any chats dealing with everyday life topics, like: relationships, married life, single life, girl/women problems, and etc. I decided to ask a couple ladies @TheMakeupCutie and @MissSophiaBlog on twitter that I talk to, if they would be interested in creating the chat with me and I am so excited that they both said yes. I feel like we are different women, different ages, and we have probably dealt with the same issues as well as different issues. We thought this would be a fun way to get to know other people and talk about things we like to do and things that bother us. This Chat will be a  Positive friendly environment! Bashing anyone for their issues, problems, likes, and dislikes will not be tolerated. We want people to feel comfortable during this chat. We want people to have fun and we also want them

Things Your Single Friend Does Not Want To Hear!

There is someone out there for you, don't worry. - Do you really want to make the mistake of saying this. I mean your friend could already feel like no one is interested. There is nothing wrong with reassuring them that they are a great catch. However do not make them feel like it could possibly take years of waiting for someone. When are you going to settle down? - I am sure when they find a potential husband, unless you have already found someone for them. Not everyone can be successful at finding someone on eHarmony or Match.com. Actually it's hard to meet someone on a regular basis. Things take time such as. finding someone who wants to settle down as well. Aren't you tired of being single? -Are you serious? This is one question you should definitely not ask, even if you're thinking about it.  Do you actually think they want to be alone on another Valentines Day for the fourth consecutive year. Maybe they don't want to be single, it's hard to

Re-inventing my Blog!

I have not blogged since the beginning of July. I would say that's embarrassing, but I needed a break and I needed time to grow. Not to sound cliche, but it's true. Blogging is a hobby that I want to take seriously, this is something I like to do. During my break from blogging I had a lot of time to think about where I want my blog to go. I mean it's been almost 2 years since I started blogging.   I blog about beauty and lifestyle related things. But I want to expand my creativity! I have so many topics to talk about, but would anyone be interested in reading? Let me know what you think. Would you be interested in "girl talk" posts or anything like relationships. Single life posts! Maybe if you want to read topics like this, give some suggestions!   I was also thinking about creating a hashtag for twitter! But I would not want to start this by myself. If anyone would be interested in this let me know. It does not have to be just two people, it can b

My Barbecue Sauce recipe!

I am so excited to share with you all my very own barbecue sauce recipe! I was inspired to make my recipe, from watching Laura Vitale from Laurainthekitchen ! Here's her video Barbecue Sauce . I did not really have any of the ingredients she used, mainly because I was either out of them or never used them before. So then I remembered in her videos she would say use what you have. That's when I looked in my kitchen and gathered these ingredients. I created my recipe months ago and I make very often, just to keep on hand and to perfect my recipe! I also decided to create my own recipe, because I thought it would be healthier than the store Barbecue Sauce.   Ingredients: 1 1/2 teaspoon: Ground Black Pepper 1/2+ 1/4 teaspoon: Barbecue Seasoning 1/2+1/4 teaspoon: Chili Powder 1/8 teaspoon: Cayenne Powder 1 1/2 Tablespoon: Sugar 1 teaspoon: Olive Oil Onion (I chopped approximately 1/4 of a small onion finely chopped) 1 cup: Brown Sugar 1 1/2 cup:

Olive Oil: Hair Straightener!

When it comes to blow drying my hair it's very important. The reason is because my hair will not straighten correctly, when using a straightener or curling iron. So finding a good product for the blow drying part is crucial. One of my other favorites to use was the Garnier Fructis blow dry straightener cream. It was the best, but it has not been in stores for a while.   Not only is the Olive Oil good for hair straightening, but it's also goodfor helping stop hair breakage!  This also includes Shea butter and uv protection . The Shea butter is in all of the hair products I currently use. This is great for helping your hair look and feel soft,  This Olive Oil repairs dull dry and damaged hair.  This also adds moisture  to your hair, it can be used on any type of hair including permed, relaxed, processed, and s pritzed hair.

Tresemme Heat Protector Spray!

I previously wrote about this product a little over a year in a hair favorites post. So this is going to be a short post, I thought I would update you all on if this is still a good product. So when I first started watching YouTube  beauty videos almost 5 years ago, one of the first products I got was this heat protector spray. Before I started using this spray I would use oil, which would leave my hair to greasy. It looked like I was trying to fry my hair! I had no idea what a heat protector for the hair was. I do not believe I had heard of it before. Sadly to say, but it is true.  So anyway, about this product: - It's perfect for blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons. - vitamin- enriched - minimizes heat damaged   Use on damped hair when blow drying and on dry hair when straightening! This product works and I recommend it to anyone. I am not the only one in my house who uses this heat protector spray!

Turbo Twist Hair Towel!

Usually, after washing my hair I use a regular towel or a cotton shirt. When I finish drying my hair, the towel or the shirt is soaking wet. Worst of all is water is still dripping down my face. When I watched SunkissAlba's YouTube video she was using a microfiber hair towel. To sum it up she, basically said that this towel dried her hair really well and it was good for your hair. So I thought to myself I need to get this towel. But then I never got it and I forgot all about it, until I saw it in Walmart. I was not looking for, because I did not remember it just stumbled upon my eyes. So I got it in pink. I decided to right this post, because I got another one last weekend in the color purple! So moving on this is " The Original Turbie Twist Super- Absorbent Hair Towel". This towel really works I was actually surprised. Sometimes what works for some else, does not work for you. It's very absorbent, my hair is almost 100% dry everytime. The great thin

My Goals for June!

This is just a short post of goals I want to complete for the month of June. Last month I posted goals for May. Lets just say that did not work out as planned. So hopefully I can complete June's goals! ~ Complete my 30 day push up challenge.   ~ Blog more than I did the previous month. ~ Become a better blogger.   ~ Start creating recipe posts. ~ Meet more bloggers (beauty, lifestyle, fashion).   ~ Create a new chat for Twitter ~ Even though I am not professional, I would like to practice my photography skills, with my new camera!   Do you have any goals for this month?
