Is there a guide to blogging?


It's been 3 months since I started blogging and I already have 57 followers and I am so grateful and thankful. In a million years I would have never imagined being a blogger. But sometimes I do not feel like one. I mean I know being a successful and known blogger doesn't happen overnight, but sometimes I get discouraged. I have always been someone who is cautious and worries about what people think, so sometimes I feel no one will like what I post. I also feel like, because I am not a well known blogger no one will take the time and give me a chance.

I am just being myself, is there something wrong with that? So I started feeling lost and I didn't know what to do; then I thought "Is there a guide to blogging?". Not only did I have these thoughts, but I was also thinking that there are so many wonderful bloggers (beauty, fashion, and lifestyle), so who would even notice my blog. So is there a book to teach people how to blog or am I just overreacting? Sometimes I still feel like I am doing something wrong, but I am realizing that I have to be patience. But sometimes it is hard to keep the readers engaged. Any thoughts to help me? Whether you are a blogger or not, your opinion matters.

    Hey Hun I'm reaching 300 followers but this was VERY slow progress and even I sometimes feel left out but don't worry I've learnt the key is interacting with other bloggers like joining in blogger chats, there is guides out there and also I realised when commenting on your blog u have captcha on which requires u to type a code in before the person can publish their comment bloggers hate this so I would say to turn the settings off ..     I'm brand new to this blogging malarky too... The way I like to think about it is it's MY blog, my personal blog, so I can do whatever the hell I want on it.

    I feel just like you. I generally believe no one ever reads what I write and I simply write for myself. I have had my blog for several months and just got my first follow today out of the blue. (I was super impressed you had so many followers if that makes you feel better.) :) I found you through @juliadee on twitter who I met at a twitter party a few nights ago.     I know how you feel :) i work FT and sometimes I simply don't have the time! I think, that just like a business, a blog takes about 2-3 years to develop and to become known like the "big" bloggers :)

My Thoughts While Watching Makeup Tutorials!

I love watching makeup tutorials so much that, three hours have literally passed. I remember watching my first ever makeup tutorial. It was from Dulce Candy and I was thinking wow if only I was that talented. The title of her video is called "Makeup For Beginners"! Now lets be honest I am not a makeup artist nor do I have the talented of creating nice makeup looks. I don't even where makeup except the basics. So I decided to share with you the things I think about, while watching YouTube videos and looking at makeup pictures. You will probably be surprised and hopefully you'll have a little laugh. Self Love Is So Important!

  Has there ever been a time where you felt unworthy? Unworthy of someone loving and caring for you. Have you ever disliked yourself so much, to the point where you would go into a dark place? I ask these questions not to necessarily get an answer back, but to let you know this happens to a lot of people. Self love is so important and everyone should feel good about themselves. Unfortunately in today's world that isn't the case at all. Society puts a label on what people should and should not look that. People judge one another 24 hours, 7 days a week and it's wrong. I've wanted to write this for a while now, but sometimes it's difficult. You don't want to offend anyone, but you also want to bring awareness to this topic. I'm not an expert on how to love yourself, but I do know what it's like to not have confidence.
