Blogger Interview #2: Sinead

Hi everyone! I hope everyone is having a lovely day. This is my second blogger interview and I am really enjoying this series. I want to introduce to you Sinead who blogs at Dreaming again. I just met her on twitter about a month ago, through the regular chats. These chats really help you meet other bloggers, who enjoy the same things as you do. Anyway, I enjoyed interviewing her and if you want to know more, continue reading! Before I forget her 2 year blogiversary was on Monday, so show her some love. Her links will be down below at the end of the interview!

Its real love 💕😂

1. How long have you been blogging?
I have been blogging for two years on the first of June! This is definitely the longest time I have kept up a hobby haha.

2. What inspired you to start a blog?
I really loved reading some of the bigger blogs out there, especially 'Sprinkle of Glitter'. Louise was such a huge inspiration to me. When she started her blogging challenge 'the 30-day snap' for other bloggers to upload a happy picture every day for the month of June I realised that there was a huge community of normal girls blogging. I decided that this was something I would love to do so I set up my blog and took part in the 30-day-snap challenge. I remember doubting myself that I would stick to it for a whole month...here I am two years later!

3. What goals do you have for yourself and your blog?
I don't really have any specific goals for my blog other than to continue to be inspired to create posts I love and for my blog to grow. For myself, I have many goals in my life. I guess it's the typical things really, find a job I love, get to travel the world and to just be happy.

4. Where do you see your blog in the next year?
Hmmm in a year from now, I honestly see my blog where it is now. Being regularly updated and cared for. I would of course love for the audience to grow a little, I love when people comment on my blog and a discussion is created. I would be so happy if I made loads of new blogging friends in the next year.

5. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Oh God, these questions are always so scary! haha. 5 years doesn't sound like very long. I will be 27 though, that sounds so old - eeek! I try not to think "Oh I want to be married by this age and have kids by this age" because if it doesn't happen then I will be disappointed. I also don't want to put that kind of pressure on myself. I want to just let things happen and hopefully, whatever situation I am in when I am 27, I will be happy! (But ideally I would like to be in a full time permanent teaching position and have met "the one" haha)

6. What have you learned since you started blogging?
Oh I have learned so much. I have become fairly handy in all the technical stuff like HTML and CSS which I had no clue about before. I think I've gotten better at my photography and learned what makes a good photo. My writing has also improved I would like to think. I have also learned how amazingly kind and friendly people can be online. I never I thought I could become friends with so many people I have never met. I have never once got a negative comment and since the internet has often been called a cruel place, I find that wonderful.

7. What are the positives and negatives of blogging?
Oh there are so many positives. For me personally, blogging is a creative outlet on which to express myself. It encourages me to take photos (which I love doing but probably wouldn't do as often if I didn't blog) It also reminds me to remember all the good things in life and appreciate them (because I often blog about them in my '5 happy things' posts) It allows me to meet and interact with so many amazing people that I would otherwise never had known exisited. There are so many things I love about blogging I could go on forever. It's taking me longer to think of the negatives. There really aren't many. I guess for me personally, there's the issue of privacy. As I am a teacher I do worry that people I don't want to see my blog will come across it. I guess, it wouldn't be very professional. I try to keep my identity fairly anonymous whilst I am in school as I really really don't want to be forced to stop blogging!

8. Would you want to turn this hobby into a career in the future?
No I have absolutely no interest in that. It's purely a hobby and that's the way it will always be.

9. Are you influenced by other bloggers?
Oh yes 100%. I love reading other peoples blogs and commenting on them. I think being a part of the community is the most important thing about blogging. There are so many ladies and blogs I admire that influence me hugely, they give me lots of ideas and inspiration. I could name them, but I the list would be far too long (some of them are in my blog roll over on my blog though!)

10. Has blogging changed you? (Have you made any friends or experienced new things)
I think blogging has changed me a little bit. I have always been fairly quiet and reserved. Since I started blogging and realised that people loved listening to what I had to say it made me more confident to speak up in real life situations. I see so much love and kindness in the blogging community, so many girls building each other up that it encourages me to be like that in real life and to spread a lil' love as cheesy as that sounds! I have definitely made so many friends through blogging. Girls, I've genuinely come to love. I've only met one of them in real life but would love to meet more in the future!

My Thoughts While Watching Makeup Tutorials!

I love watching makeup tutorials so much that, three hours have literally passed. I remember watching my first ever makeup tutorial. It was from Dulce Candy and I was thinking wow if only I was that talented. The title of her video is called "Makeup For Beginners"! Now lets be honest I am not a makeup artist nor do I have the talented of creating nice makeup looks. I don't even where makeup except the basics. So I decided to share with you the things I think about, while watching YouTube videos and looking at makeup pictures. You will probably be surprised and hopefully you'll have a little laugh. If not then I really made a fool out of myself with this one! I actually laugh at myself for this, which means I'm probably weird now! Anyway, here's my thoughts while watching makeup tutorials. "That Highlight Though." "Wing On Point." "Girl you better work it, wing on fleek. Is that word still in?" "I Wish I Could P...

Self Love Is So Important!

Has there ever been a time where you felt unworthy? Unworthy of someone loving and caring for you. Have you ever disliked yourself so much, to the point where you would go into a dark place? I ask these questions not to necessarily get an answer back, but to let you know this happens to a lot of people. Self love is so important and everyone should feel good about themselves. Unfortunately in today's world that isn't the case at all. Society puts a label on what people should and should not look that. People judge one another 24 hours, 7 days a week and it's wrong. I've wanted to write this for a while now, but sometimes it's difficult. You don't want to offend anyone, but you also want to bring awareness to this topic. I'm not an expert on how to love yourself, but I do know what it's like to not have confidence. I know what it feels like to not think you're good enough, even when people tell you that you are.    I use to think I was I wa...
