Confessions of a beauty blogger tag

I was looking at Abbie's blog over at kittensintophats. You all should really check out her blog. So on her blog I saw the "Confessions of a beauty blogger tag". I love tags so I decided to do it.
When did you start your blog?
In June of last year I first set up my blogger account, but I officially started October 19 of last year.

Have you had any other online presence before? (like other blogs or a Youtube channel)
Yes. I have a YouTube channel (since last year), but I have not uploaded anything at the moment.

Why did you start your blog?
I wanted to inspire other people to follow their dreams. In the process of starting this blog, I remembered my own dreams and I wanted to follow them. I also started to blog because I wanted to connect with other bloggers and share my interests with other people. I wanted to make YouTube videos, but I realized blogging was best for me. I feel like it's a little easier, than "talking to a camera". Besides I rather watch videos than making them!

When did you become serious about starting a blog?
I realized I liked blogging a lot. Also, people were actually reading my blog and that really encouraged me to keep going. Most importantly I remembered why I started blogging.

What was your first post?
My first post was an introduction to my blog!

Where do you see your blog in a year?
It is really hard to answer. Honestly, I do not know. I know as a blogger I see myself being more experienced with posting more frequently

What is the most rewarding thing to you about blogging?
Being apart of the blogging community and interacting with other bloggers. I have also made friends through blogging.

What is the most discouraging thing that happens to you?
I know being a known blogger doesn't happen fast, but sometimes I get discouraged. Because I do not have a lot of comments on my posts I feel like no one likes what I post. Sometimes I feel like I am doing something wrong, but I guess patience is the key.

What's your lasting motivation/inspiration?
Besides family, bloggers/blogger friends. I see a lot of them posting 3 times a day almost and
that encourages me. They still keep going whether they have 20 comments, 4 comments, or 0 comments. Sometimes I had a feeling of wanting to stop because I didn't know if blogging was for me. Honestly I still do not know; but I am going to continue because I am motivated.

I tag anyone else who likes this tag!

Finding My Passion For Blogging Again

At some point in time, when your heart isn’t into something you should take a break. Blogging is great and I couldn’t see myself without it. However sometimes it can get overwhelming and that’s what happened to me this year. For about eight months I have not blogged and I thought I was a bad person for that. I have realized that it was best to take the long break. In doing so, I have found so many things I love to talk about. I was holding myself back because I put a label on myself, wanting to be known as a beauty blogger. Sure I attached the lifestyle part, but honestly I don’t really know what that means.  During this year I had time to reflect on where I wanted my blog to go and whether I even wanted to write anymore. Honestly the motivation to blog was not there at all and at that time, I really didn’t care if I continued. I did not want to look at my blog or deal with it. For me I was tired of putting in the work and not getting anything in return. Meaning no one was r

E.l.f. Eye Brushes

Although this haul is very small, I just wanted to share with you what I brought. I decided to buy brushes, because I needed them more! The first brushes I were eco-friendly and were really good, but their were more face brushes, then eye brushes. So that wasn't really helpful to me. It was only one eye shadow brush. I rarely shop online, I always go to the store. But I was bored one day and I guess this is what happened! I am really excited to try these brushes! I also brought some things from BH cosmetics, but that's for another post! Eye Shadow Brush The eye shadow brush is supposed to help apply the eye shadow evenly and make it easier. This sounds good, because the brushes I used in the past were tough and hard. It seemed like I had to put a lot of eye shadow on, before it actually showed up on my eyes. Blending Eye Brush This brush is supposed to blend the eye shadows, while softening dramatic edges and lines. This is really good, because before I ha
