Goals for June I Want To Accomplish!

It's always good to set goals for yourself. Goals keep you focused, organized, and they remind you of things you have to do. So here's a short and simple post of goals I will like to accomplish for the month of June! Stay Productive : I am proud of myself. So far I've been really productive when it comes to blogging. I have been really consistent this year and I am feeling accomplished. Continuing Blogging about what I enjoy : I feel like this has been a great blogging year for me. I really do feel conscious about what I blog. I want to write more recipe post, the lighting is not the best. I am definitely working on it though. Make more blogging friends : The blogging community is really great, I don't feel like an outsider anymore (Something that I used to feel). I have made some really good friends from blogging, that's a positive outcome for me. I hope to continue making friends. Do more DIYs : I love DIYs, their great and it's much more cheaper to...

Strawberry Bread Recipe

Here is another great breakfast recipe I found! In a previous post I talked about Banana muffins , but you will love this Strawberry Bread just as much. I have never tried this bread before, because I love Banana bread and nothing can top it. But after trying this, I like strawberry bread. I found this recipe on the same site as the Banana muffins. The recipe called for pecans, but I'm not a fan of it. You can definitely keep though. So if you want to try this out follow the recipe in this link: Strawberry Bread I hope you try this recipe and let me know if you do!

There's Beauty in Everyone!

About a week I saw this gorgeous flower outside and I knew I had to capture it on camera. You can find the beauty in everyone and everything. In this society people have their own expectations of what beauty is. But in reality there is no true beauty. Times are changing and so are people. I believe everyone should be comfortable in their own skin. I know you're probably thinking, "easier said than done". Remember that beauty comes in all shapes, colors, and sizes. I know I am starting to feel comfortable in my own skin. I think it's because I am not in high school anymore. High school can be a toxic place for people and my self-esteem was not the best. But for a lot of people social media can be like high school. People get bullied a lot and sometimes they need that one person to help and encourage them. There are a lot of twitter chats, but I do not see one about beauty and I don't mean about makeup. Would you want to see a twitter chat about this? I h...

Banana Muffins Recipe!

If you ever need help with ideas for breakfast, don't worry the Internet has you covered. A while ago I wanted to fix Banana bread, but it takes a long time to cook. I wanted something quick and easy to fix, so I found a great Banana Muffin recipe. They were really good, so this morning I made them again and decided to share them with you the recipe I've found! All of the ingredients are down below for you to try them as well. Here's the recipe! Prep: 10 min Cook: 25 min Ready In: 35 min    Ingredients: 1 1/2 cups flour 1 tsp. baking powder 1 tsp. baking soda 1/2 tsp. salt 3 large bananas 3/4 cup sugar 1 egg 1/3 melted butter   -I only used 2 bananas, because that is all I had. It did not make a difference at all. I also didn't have baking soda, but again it wasn't noticeable. These are really good and they take no time make. I enjoyed these and I hope you do too. For more information on this recipe check it out here: Banana M...

I'm Not A Feminist Expert But...

This is not a regular post, but it's about life and I do write lifestyle posts. I thought this post would be fitting for today. I've been wanting to write a post like this for a long time, but I didn't. I guess this was the right time to do so. I wouldn't call myself a feminist expert, but to see that sexist people still think it's ok to put women down are unbelievable. Your mom is a woman, grow up. This is something that has been going for years and it should stop. I mean really, this is the 21st century and women should not be put in a category by men. I mean everyone jokes around and has a right to their own opinion, but so do I. While on twitter I was reading that women soccer teams will be featured in the FIFA 16 . I do not play soccer, but this is a big step. Women should not be made to feel like, all their good for is cooking and cleaning. I believe women are making a big impact on the world. Women work hard everyday, not just men. Not all...

Gold Bond Ultimate Skin Therapy Cream

The Gold Bond skin therapy cream heals and nourishes dry, problem skin. It's non- greasy and absorbs through the skin fast. Infused with Aloe, this will definitely help solve any dryness your skin is having. The product says that it is hypoallergenic, I did not have any reaction to it. To be honest, whenever I see something that says hypoallergenic I automatically assume it's ok. But as a tip apply a little to the forearm and see what happens. During the warmer days I noticed my hands get dryer, so this is the perfect product to help. In between my fingers is where I am dry the most. It's not painful, but sometimes almost unbearable to deal with. The gold bond cream definitely helps to keep my skin moisturized and it really is not greasy at all. This leaves my skin feeling smooth and soft! I do recommend this product to anyone with dry/cracked skin. I got it at Walmart for less than $2. If you have any recommendations on other skin lotions ...

NYC Velvet eyeliners

I am a simple kind of girl when it comes to wearing makeup. I do not wear foundation, concealer, setting powder, or anything in that category. I do however wear eye shadows, when it comes to heavy makeup (don't worry I use an eye primer). But the only makeup you'll see me wearing on a daily basis is my eyeliner. A girl can never have too much of it! These colors I got from Walmart, cost about $2. As you can see these are very simple colors, but so pretty. These colors are Black Velvet in 951 and Black Wine in 952. I always get black eyeliner, because this is the color that runs out the fastest for me. The Black Wine eyeliner looks more like a maroon color to me, but it's still a pretty color. The NYC velvet eyeliners are a long- wearing formula, that is infused with Vitamins C & E. Both eyeliners are very creamy and smooth. The best part is it's very pigmented and applies very easily. Sometimes I have noticed with eyeliners, is the tip is sharp s...

Nail Polish Haul

I love nail polish, it's like my obsession next to eyeliner of course. So a couple of weeks ago I was in Walmart and the first place I went to was the nail section. My regular nail polish choice NYC is definitely a favorite, their color are so pretty and long wearing. I decided to also try different brands, that I have never tried before. With some of these colors I went a little out of my comfort zone. So far I have tried all of the colors except for "NYC Times Square Tangerine Crème" and "Sally Hansen Mighty Mango".    1. NYC: Hamptons Peach- One of the prettiest colors and it's perfect for springtime and summer. It's like a mix between pink and orange. The best part about this polish is that it dries quickly, within 5 minutes! 2. NYC: Burnt Orange- I did not think that I would like this color, but after applying this color it started to grow on me. This color is great for the Summer! 3. NYC: Times Square Tangerine Crème- I have no...

Que Bella Beauty Masks Review

I love having a spa day at home, who doesn't? So about two weeks on twitter Que Bella Beauty tweeted out asking bloggers if they were interested in trying out their masks. I was interested in this opportunity. I really enjoy masks, their very refreshing, so they sent me some of their masks to try out and review. When I received them, over the course of a few days I spent trying them and writing what I thought about them. So keep reading to see what I thought!     Facial Exfoliator (Cherry & Apricot exfoliating cleanser) For a radiant, clear complexion this cleanser helps the skin to remove makeup. This also cleanses the face to remove dead skin cells and impurities, to reveal fresh glowing skin. This is by far my favorite! I love it. First, the smell is great and the combination of Cherry and Apricot is incredible. This looked and felt like a liquid scrub. It was very easy to apply to my face and in the end I was feeling refreshed and ...

Cocoa Butter Stick

The Cocoa Butter Stick is Pure Cocoa Butter infused with Vitamin E that moisturizes rough, ashy areas. Great to use for marks, blemishes and scars. This smoothes on easily to the skin. I think is a good product to use. It applies to the skin very well and most important it absorbs into the skin pretty quickly. A little goes a long way. The first time I used this I put to much, which made it take a little longer to absorb. I tend to experience dry skin sometimes so this very helpful. This is a very versatile product you can use for blemishes, dry skin, and marks. Right now I am using it for blemishes and marks left from bumps. It's very important for our skin to stay moisturized and hydrated, not just for the winter months but also the warmer months to. I do not really experience a lot of dry skin, expect for in between my fingers and towards my elbows. I have used cocoa butter in the past and it was helpful but I wasn't really consistent with it. But while in Walmart...

April Favorites!

This is my first Monthly favorites post and I am excited to share what I've been loving. This is also a collaboration post I am doing with fellow blogger Chantel from simplyg0rgeous ! She has a great blog and you should check her post out here: April Favorites . I only have a few favorites that I use regularly but these are worth it. Vaseline: Total Moisture - I have mentioned the Vaseline Total Moisture and this is truly my all time favorite. I use it all the time and it keeps my skin feeling soft and refreshing. The best part is that it absorbs into my skin easily and does not leave a greasy feeling. If you want to know more, checkout my post on it here: Vaseline Total Moisture . Calgon: Take me body cream - If I am not using my Vaseline lotion, it's because I am using my Calgon body cream. I like to use this on my face a lot because the lotion keeps it looking moisturized and most importantly hydrated. If you want to know more here's a previous post: Calgon: ...

Adovia Purifying Dead Sea Mud Mask

About a week ago, I was sent the Adovia Purifying Mud Mask . I have never tried a mud mask before. The only time I've seen people wear mud masks was in the movies. To be honest I wasn't sure about how I would feel, mainly because of the word mud. But I was really excited to try it out, because it was something new.   The Adovia Purifying Mud Mask is the most effective and natural acne treatment. Pulls out toxins and unclogs pores, so skin can be rejuvenated naturally. Also pulls out excess oil while pulling in needed essential minerals, from the dead sea. The dead sea mud pulls out the toxins and pore clogging particle, while infusing skin with much needed minerals. Infused with over 26 minerals essential for the skin to be healthy. This 100% natural, paraben free, no added fragrance or color. Improves your complexion by reducing blackheads, acne blemishes, and the appearance of acne. Most importantly this is Great to use fo...

Curly Hair Problems/Tips

If you're a curly girl like me you can cry with me at this post, if you're not well then you'll probably laugh at our pain. I decided to write this post, because I thought it would be fun to see what I actually go through with my hair. The good thing about this, is that I am not alone when it comes to the love/hate relationship curly haired girls experience with their hair. Whether you have tight curls, loose curls, or wavy curls you go through at one or two things on my list.   Problems - Frizz: This is one of the number one problems we face. Because of this I like to have a hat in my pocketbook, to safe myself the embarrassment. I feel like no matter what I do my hair stays frizzy. I could put on my shirt and all of a sudden half of my hair gets frizzy.   - Weather: Although the weather sometimes coincides with frizzy hair, it's in a category all by itself. If it's hot or humid outside my hair immediately knows. As soon as I step outside, in a mat...

Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes

Neutrogena makeup remover products are the only one I have used. A few times I've tried other makeup removers, but they are not as good as my Neutrogena oil-free eye makeup remover. If you want to read more about click here: Neutrogena eye makeup remover . This was a good product, but it is just for eye makeup. I didn't mind it, only because I wore eye makeup and no other kind. But a couple of weeks I saw these cleansing towelettes and I knew I wanted to try them. These clothes can be used on the full face.     The Neutrogena makeup remover cleansing towelettes are soft cloths that do not irritate the skin. They gently and effectively dissolve all traces of makeup, dirt, oil, and even waterproof mascara. Most importantly these cloths leave your skin feeling thoroughly clean with no heavy residue left. So there is no need to rinse after wiping the face. The cleansing cloths are gentle enough to use around sensitive eye area. So people who...

Nutra Nails: Flex-Shield Nail Hardener

When going to the nail salon most of us go for a manicure or tips. For me most of the time it's for tips, but after a while I get really tired of them. When the time comes for me to take them off, it becomes a difficult challenge. So whenever I want to go and get them done professionally I usually let my own nails grow. Then when it's time for me to go I just ask them to put acrylic on them instead of tips and the acrylic. The acrylic is like a protective shield for your nails. But after a while I become tired of it, but this time the process was much easier to take them off. If you're like me, you want tips when you don't have them and when you do, you want them off. Am I making sense? So for the past month, I decided to solve my nail problems completely. I will grow my nails and take care of them. I also decided to invest in a nail hardener, because it seemed like every time I bumped into something really hard they would break. That's when I f...
