NYC Velvet eyeliners

I am a simple kind of girl when it comes to wearing makeup. I do not wear foundation, concealer, setting powder, or anything in that category. I do however wear eye shadows, when it comes to heavy makeup (don't worry I use an eye primer). But the only makeup you'll see me wearing on a daily basis is my eyeliner. A girl can never have too much of it! These colors I got from Walmart, cost about $2.

As you can see these are very simple colors, but so pretty. These colors are Black Velvet in 951 and Black Wine in 952. I always get black eyeliner, because this is the color that runs out the fastest for me. The Black Wine eyeliner looks more like a maroon color to me, but it's still a pretty color. The NYC velvet eyeliners are a long- wearing formula, that is infused with Vitamins C & E. Both eyeliners are very creamy and smooth. The best part is it's very pigmented and applies very easily. Sometimes I have noticed with eyeliners, is the tip is sharp so I wear it down a little. But this I don't have to do that, which is another great thing about this. I talk a lot about eyeliners, but surprisingly I have not tried liquid eyeliner yet. For some reason I'm worried that a liquid eyeliner will come off easily. I know there's waterproof, but does that really work?

I hope you have enjoyed reading this post! If you wear or like the liquid ones, which brand do you recommend? What colors should I try next?

  5. The black velvet shade looks great, so pigmented and would make a statement! I can't believe you haven't tried liquid eyeliner! All the ones I've tried last all day and don't come off or fade (unless you smudge it with your finger!) my favourite one is Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eyeliner. #boldandbeautiful

  6. If I was stranded on an Island I would take eyeliner and mascara with me without a doubt. Love an eyeliner, especially a kohl one.

Finding My Passion For Blogging Again

At some point in time, when your heart isn’t into something you should take a break. Blogging is great and I couldn’t see myself without it. However sometimes it can get overwhelming and that’s what happened to me this year. For about eight months I have not blogged and I thought I was a bad person for that. I have realized that it was best to take the long break. In doing so, I have found so many things I love to talk about. I was holding myself back because I put a label on myself, wanting to be known as a beauty blogger. Sure I attached the lifestyle part, but honestly I don’t really know what that means.  During this year I had time to reflect on where I wanted my blog to go and whether I even wanted to write anymore. Honestly the motivation to blog was not there at all and at that time, I really didn’t care if I continued. I did not want to look at my blog or deal with it. For me I was tired of putting in the work and not getting anything in return. Meaning no ...

E.l.f. Eye Brushes

Although this haul is very small, I just wanted to share with you what I brought. I decided to buy brushes, because I needed them more! The first brushes I were eco-friendly and were really good, but their were more face brushes, then eye brushes. So that wasn't really helpful to me. It was only one eye shadow brush. I rarely shop online, I always go to the store. But I was bored one day and I guess this is what happened! I am really excited to try these brushes! I also brought some things from BH cosmetics, but that's for another post! Eye Shadow Brush The eye shadow brush is supposed to help apply the eye shadow evenly and make it easier. This sounds good, because the brushes I used in the past were tough and hard. It seemed like I had to put a lot of eye shadow on, before it actually showed up on my eyes. Blending Eye Brush This brush is supposed to blend the eye shadows, while softening dramatic edges and lines. This is really good, because before I h...
