I'm Not A Feminist Expert But...

This is not a regular post, but it's about life and I do write lifestyle posts. I thought this post would be fitting for today. I've been wanting to write a post like this for a long time, but I didn't. I guess this was the right time to do so. I wouldn't call myself a feminist expert, but to see that sexist people still think it's ok to put women down are unbelievable. Your mom is a woman, grow up. This is something that has been going for years and it should stop. I mean really, this is the 21st century and women should not be put in a category by men. I mean everyone jokes around and has a right to their own opinion, but so do I.

While on twitter I was reading that women soccer teams will be featured in the FIFA 16. I do not play soccer, but this is a big step. Women should not be made to feel like, all their good for is cooking and cleaning. I believe women are making a big impact on the world. Women work hard everyday, not just men. Not all guys are sexist, but the ones that are I wonder why. "Boys will be boys" should not be used anymore. Just because women are fighting for equal rights doesn't mean they hate guys. They just want to be recognized as something more, than just a cooker or a cleaner. Even though this is a rant, I do feel strongly about this issue. Women are human beings just like men and we shouldn't be made to feel less than that.

If you're feeling the same way or you have an opinion leave a comment about it.

  1. I saw those tweets this morning- I couldn't believe the things they were saying. It's great that they are finally incorporating female teams in the game. I agree with you, feminism is something that should be taken seriously- it isnt meant to belittle men but to seek equal rights.

Helpful Posts/Sites For Bloggers

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. While in a blogging rut I came across a lot of posts that have helped me gain confidence. These posts also helped me realize my creativity; all I needed to do was use my noggin! But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

My Top 5 Current Beauty Favorites!

I'm not one who has a lot of favorite products, but when I do it's worth sharing. Call me boring, but I'm someone who follows all the trends. Half of the time I don't even buy products that are "most known" or "popular". At the moment I have a handful of products I'm really loving. I'm a picky person when it comes to a lot of things, but these products are great to use. If you are on a budget these products are very affordable and they definitely don't disappoint!   Swissco Detangle Brush I love this detangler brush, it works great on my hair. Although I found this at Marshalls you can find online as well. Both prices are $6! That's very affordable in my opinion, compared to brushes that cost double. You can use this on wet and dry hair. I've tried both and it works very good. When it's time to twist or braid my hair I will use this brush. Most importantly I will use this brush before washing my hair and during th...

Is there a guide to blogging?

It's been 3 months since I started blogging and I already have 57 followers and I am so grateful and thankful. In a million years I would have never imagined being a blogger. But sometimes I do not feel like one. I mean I know being a successful and known blogger doesn't happen overnight, but sometimes I get discouraged. I have always been someone who is cautious and worries about what people think, so sometimes I feel no one will like what I post. I also feel like, because I am not a well known blogger no one will take the time and give me a chance. I am just being myself, is there something wrong with that? So I started feeling lost and I didn't know what to do; then I thought "Is there a guide to blogging?". Not only did I have these thoughts, but I was also thinking that there are so many wonderful bloggers (beauty, fashion, and lifestyle), so who would even notice my blog. So is there a book to teach people how to blog or am I just overreacting? Sometim...
