  Who would've thought food wasn't just for eating. Over the past couple of years I have found new ways to use the foods that I eat. If you do not like using products for your skin or your hair, don't worry I got you! If you're into natural ingredients I have a few alternatives for you.  Lemons   This is great way to lighten those darken elbows or underarms. I was kind of shocked when I saw it actually works. If you want to use the lemon as a scrub, just add regular sugar to it. I wouldn't use that as a facial though because regular sugar is hard, so that would probably be painful. If you don't want to use lemons, I hear potatoes are a great substitute! Eggs Eggs are protein and it's a good source of nutrients. Not only that but it's great for the skin and hair. Well I finally received the White Christmas I was looking for. Although it was after Christmas. Around where I live about 24-30 inches was accumulated. That's a lot! It was so dangerous outside so I hope everyone  is safe whether you did or did not get snow. My mom and I shoveled the snow; even though it wasn't really fun. Let's just it was pretty cold outside, but the sun came out. I didn't mind being snowed in, I felt cozy! But if you're someone who doesn't like that, I have a few ideas for you the next you're stuck! Cook/Bake Whether you're cooking or baking you can't go wrong.   School never really prepares you for adulthood. I think that's why people feel stuck after high school. Do I think high school was a waste? No, but if they would have added classes or programs to help assist us for the real world, it would've been helpful. I mean don't get me wrong. I learned how to read, write, and do math; but what about other things like writing a resume or practicing for an interview. To be honest I used being in high school as a security blanket. I relied on school to help me for the real world, but I guess that wasn't suppose to happen. I actually set myself up for a big disappointment. A few years ago I started to change what foods I put into my body. You know that saying, "you are what you eat"? I actually believed that, but when I didn't turn into a  donut I knew they were lying! Although I was relieved, I came to the conclusion that there is some truth to the statement. You don't look like the foods you eat, but they do affect the inside and outside of your body. For example, on the outside you may notice acne or you may experience gas inside your body. So we all can start a healthy eating habit, I'm going to share with you some healthy substitutes.   I am not the best when it comes to having a skin care routine. But I do love trying out different products and seeing what works for me. Most of the time, before I try out a product I always by the travel size bottle first. Usually these bottles are between a 1 to 3 dollars. I like buying the travel size first; because if I didn't like it, the money I spent wasn't a complete waste. I brought these products at Shoprite for under $5. A lot happened to me during the last few months of last year. I moved, I didn't blog, I was feeling down about myself, and I got a job. Even though I uploaded blog posts, it wasn't my usual ones. For some reason I just didn't feel like blogging or had the passion to. At first I didn't know why, but then I figured it out; I wasn't completely being myself. This blog is 100% me, but I pick and choose want I want to talk about. Although I will not talk about certain things like family, I will start to be more open. Sometimes I'm worried that I may not be cool like other bloggers. But I've decided that it's time to stop worrying and just have fun with blogging. So starting now that is what I intend to do.
