Netflix: Haunting Of Hill House

I’m a very picky person when it comes to watching movies and tv shows. I want to be intrigued right away. That’s probably a lot to ask for but it’s almost the only way to grab my attention. I barely watch new shows and I just put the old ones on repeat most days. But every time I came across the Haunting Of Hill House on Netflix, I was interested. But I never got around to watching the show right away. It wasn’t until I came across an article about one of the episodes, that made me watch it about 4 days ago. Don’t worry I don’t give away spoilers.

You have to be careful with shows like this one, because you don’t want to be repetitive. So at first I was skeptical of watching this because I was thinking this is the same kind of show, where a family is being haunted. Before I continue I just want to say that it’s nothing how I expected it to be. The way the show was written and directed was out of this world. The acting was phenomenal and it kept me wondering, what the next scene or episode was going to be like. I watched this show in one day and that’s rare for me, I haven’t binged watched a show since the beginning of this year.

Just to give you a background about the family. Married couple Hugh and Olivia Crain move into a house they are trying to flip during this Summer. Along with their kids Oldest child Steven, second oldest child Shirley, middle child Theodora also known as Theo, twins Luke and Eleanor also known as Nell. Between the twins Luke is 90 seconds older.

Haunting Of Hill House is very different and unique but it captures every detail of its meaning. There’s really no questions unanswered for me, which makes it worth watching. I love how each character has their own epsisode and you see how the past affects them in the future. Usually you don’t really get to see the characters of a show in depth like this. What makes this show special is how every answer to your question isn’t just thrown at you in one episode. It’s like a, “wow I see how this ties in with...” type of moment. For example, some shows that I’ve watched the problem or  question was answered in a way that left me with more questions and overall I was confused. It just didn’t makes sense because they jammed it in at the last 3 minutes of the show. As I said before the acting was great, they bring the characters to life. Not only are they strong individually, which makes it easy to become attached to the character and feel their emotions but together it’s like you forget this is not a real family.

This was written weeks ago, but I never got around to posting it. I hope you enjoyed reading this. If you’ve watched this show let me know!

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

Is there a guide to blogging?

It's been 3 months since I started blogging and I already have 57 followers and I am so grateful and thankful. In a million years I would have never imagined being a blogger. But sometimes I do not feel like one. I mean I know being a successful and known blogger doesn't happen overnight, but sometimes I get discouraged. I have always been someone who is cautious and worries about what people think, so sometimes I feel no one will like what I post. I also feel like, because I am not a well known blogger no one will take the time and give me a chance. I am just being myself, is there something wrong with that? So I started feeling lost and I didn't know what to do; then I thought "Is there a guide to blogging?". Not only did I have these thoughts, but I was also thinking that there are so many wonderful bloggers (beauty, fashion, and lifestyle), so who would even notice my blog. So is there a book to teach people how to blog or am I just overreacting? Sometim...

Finding My Passion For Blogging Again

At some point in time, when your heart isn’t into something you should take a break. Blogging is great and I couldn’t see myself without it. However sometimes it can get overwhelming and that’s what happened to me this year. For about eight months I have not blogged and I thought I was a bad person for that. I have realized that it was best to take the long break. In doing so, I have found so many things I love to talk about. I was holding myself back because I put a label on myself, wanting to be known as a beauty blogger. Sure I attached the lifestyle part, but honestly I don’t really know what that means.  During this year I had time to reflect on where I wanted my blog to go and whether I even wanted to write anymore. Honestly the motivation to blog was not there at all and at that time, I really didn’t care if I continued. I did not want to look at my blog or deal with it. For me I was tired of putting in the work and not getting anything in return. Meaning no ...
