Acceptance

If you want to see a positive change in the world, you have to start the trend. In our society, we are experiencing the struggles of accepting others and even more importantly ourselves. Everyone wants to be accepted and they deserve to be. They deserve to be comfortable with who they are. It's the 21st century, our society should stop being judgmental and start accepting that everyone is different. I love the fact that people are different! What if we all dressed the same, acted the same, and ate the same meals? That would be so boring. The bullying and the hate is so toxic and it's bringing us all down. We all have the right of "Freedom of Speech", but there is a fine line between stating your opinion and being down right ignorant.

In this day in age, it is so hard to accept ourselves because of the society we live in. I'm not saying all people feel this way, but enough of are. I've always felt this way, but because of recent topics and videos, I thought it was time to share how I feel. Em Ford from My Pale Skin Blog, was one of the people that inspired me. After watching her video "You Look Disgusting", I was sad and empowered at the same time. I felt sad because, she's a beautiful person and doesn't deserve this hate. I was empowered because she learned to love herself no matter what, we should all love ourselves! Another topic is Caitlyn Jenner. She showed me that everyone goes through struggles, no matter what age you are. She is finally comfortable in her own skin and that's amazing. Anyone who changes/ transitions into who they really are deserves that acceptance. We are all human beings, one person isn't better than the next and one struggle isn't more important than the next.

Honestly, I feel if you learn to have acceptance for yourself that will allow you to have acceptance for others as well. Our society is changing, but it's a work in progress. There are still judgmental people in this world and unfortunately you can't do anything about it. People have their own choices and decisions to make, but being rude shouldn't be one of them. I understand people have their own beliefs, moral values, and opinions. No one deserves hate, sometimes that hate for someone causes them to hate themselves and that's terrible. I don't expect people to feel the same as I do, I just think people should accept people for who they are. If only everything was that simple. But it's not and I'm not sure if it will ever be. I am just feeling this way and I thought I would express my feelings.

I thought this was a serious topic to talk about so I went on twitter and asked for others opinions on this subject.

Kristina from creepersandcupcakes.com  says "accepting yourself is important so that you can move on with life, be a better person, be happier. Even the things you may consider flaws someone else may really like!"

Liz from Beauty Fashion And Lifestyle says "Acceptance in my opinion is the most important quality a person can have!"

Sarah from SazBomb says "I think it's important to try & find the positive in all situations & treat others how you yourself would like to be treated."

Thank you Kristina, Liz, and Sarah for your opinions. If you have any feelings on this post feel free to talk about them. It's important we talk about this issue.

My Thoughts While Watching Makeup Tutorials!

I love watching makeup tutorials so much that, three hours have literally passed. I remember watching my first ever makeup tutorial. It was from Dulce Candy and I was thinking wow if only I was that talented. The title of her video is called "Makeup For Beginners"! Now lets be honest I am not a makeup artist nor do I have the talented of creating nice makeup looks. I don't even where makeup except the basics. So I decided to share with you the things I think about, while watching YouTube videos and looking at makeup pictures. You will probably be surprised and hopefully you'll have a little laugh. If not then I really made a fool out of myself with this one! I actually laugh at myself for this, which means I'm probably weird now! Anyway, here's my thoughts while watching makeup tutorials. "That Highlight Though." "Wing On Point." "Girl you better work it, wing on fleek. Is that word still in?" "I Wish I Could P...

Self Love Is So Important!

Has there ever been a time where you felt unworthy? Unworthy of someone loving and caring for you. Have you ever disliked yourself so much, to the point where you would go into a dark place? I ask these questions not to necessarily get an answer back, but to let you know this happens to a lot of people. Self love is so important and everyone should feel good about themselves. Unfortunately in today's world that isn't the case at all. Society puts a label on what people should and should not look that. People judge one another 24 hours, 7 days a week and it's wrong. I've wanted to write this for a while now, but sometimes it's difficult. You don't want to offend anyone, but you also want to bring awareness to this topic. I'm not an expert on how to love yourself, but I do know what it's like to not have confidence. I know what it feels like to not think you're good enough, even when people tell you that you are.    I use to think I was I wa...
