Part 1: My High School Experience

I did not like high school. I could not take it anymore and I was counting the days till I graduated. But now I miss high school, only because I really didn't have to worry about anything. But then I remembered why I didn't like high school to begin with. The mean girls, guys who acted like jerks, and I how felt began to show on my face. A lot people have great memories of their high school years, but me that's a different story. I have good memories, not a lot only a few. I felt like I didn't belong. I dreaded going to school and I wanted to be someone else. I blamed TV for my high expectations of high school.

It seemed glamorized on television and I could not wait to be in high school. But then I quickly realized that my high school experience was not going to be all about: sunshine, flowers, and unicorns. I had some friends who I talked to throughout my fours and some of them I knew since elementary, but for some reason I still felt alone. I did not go through peer pressure and did not care to be popular. I was the kind of person who talked to everyone and wanted to have a peaceful day in school. I am not bashing high school, because I did have good memories; not as much as I would've like to have but at least I have some right? I do miss the people I was cool with in school though. I could talk about high school some more, but that's just a snippet of my experience.

What was your experience like or what are you dealing with now?

Helpful Posts/Sites For Bloggers

Being a blogger is not easy at all, whether it's a hobby or a job. Every blogger works so hard to put out quality work. But sometimes it can be a struggle. While in a blogging rut I came across a lot of posts that have helped me gain confidence. These posts also helped me realize my creativity; all I needed to do was use my noggin! But before you click on the links below, I'm going to explain what these links mean to me. I don't want to bore you but I'm hoping these will help you too.   Everytime I get into a blogging rut I always look at my blog design. Thinking that the design I have is always the problem, I go and I spend money to change it. In reality the major problem was myself. Now don't get me wrong, designs I've had were beautiful it just wasn't for me. During my long "break" or breakdown I did a lot of searching. I'm pretty sure you all heard of Etsy, am I right? This is where I found two shops that have helped me tremendous...

Finding My Passion For Blogging Again

At some point in time, when your heart isn’t into something you should take a break. Blogging is great and I couldn’t see myself without it. However sometimes it can get overwhelming and that’s what happened to me this year. For about eight months I have not blogged and I thought I was a bad person for that. I have realized that it was best to take the long break. In doing so, I have found so many things I love to talk about. I was holding myself back because I put a label on myself, wanting to be known as a beauty blogger. Sure I attached the lifestyle part, but honestly I don’t really know what that means.  During this year I had time to reflect on where I wanted my blog to go and whether I even wanted to write anymore. Honestly the motivation to blog was not there at all and at that time, I really didn’t care if I continued. I did not want to look at my blog or deal with it. For me I was tired of putting in the work and not getting anything in return. Meaning no ...
