LipShine By Nicka K New York

Nowadays it's hard to find a lipstick or lip gloss that is affordable. But I can understand why, because some people think more expensive equals higher quality. Although that may be the case, it's not always true. Surprisingly there are more affordable ones that are still made of good quality. Lip Shine by Nicka K (NK) is a brand I never knew existed. But while at the beauty supply store I saw the brand. I'm starting to be open minded, when it comes to trying out beauty products. These lip glosses were on $2 so I brought 5 of them. The glosses are not matte, so they do not dry. But I love how they stay shiny, so I can deal with that. These glosses are very creamy and pigmented, so I only have to apply 1 to 2 times.

A75 Sheen
Sheen is one of my favorite colors! I know it's a clear lip gloss, but you can never go wrong there. My lips are glossy and it stays that way for awhile. I don't feel sticky with it on and there's no greasy feeling either.

A80 Matrix
Matrix is my second favorites. I have mentioned this one is my "current beauty favorites post". Here's the link for that: Top 5 Current Beauty Favorites. When applied to my lips it looks like a nude/mauve color. I am actually surprised I like this one. It wasn't in my comfort zone but, it's not extreme. So I really like it a lot it almost blends in with my lips.

A84 Bossanova
Although its like a purple color it's lighter. I lean more towards dark purples but, surprisingly it's not bad at all. Besides this is way out of my comfort zone more than the color matrix but, I'm glad I brought because it's a pretty color.

A85 Woody Brown
I almost like it more than matrix. So this may be my new second favorite, we'll see! It's like a chocolate color and it's so gorgeous.

A87 Payne's Gray
I honestly didn't think I would like this one at all, because of the color. Even though it's gray, it looks like purple is mixed in as well maybe that's why I like it. I didn't expect this gloss to be a gorgeous but I was wrong.

Overall I love these glosses and I will definitely be buying more of them. Like I've said before these are very affordable at $2 each, especially if you're on a budget. I hope you enjoyed reading and if you want to check out their site and the direct page to the Lip Shine glosses click the links below!

  2. I love those shades not sure if I could find the brand where I am from though. I agree higher prices don't always mean higher quality. I liked Bossanova on you

  3. These colors are fabulous! They look great on you. I think my favorite is Bossanova though. I've never even heard of this brand and to get them for $2 is amazing! It's always hard to find a good quality product that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Thanks for sharing this! (:

Finding My Passion For Blogging Again

At some point in time, when your heart isn’t into something you should take a break. Blogging is great and I couldn’t see myself without it. However sometimes it can get overwhelming and that’s what happened to me this year. For about eight months I have not blogged and I thought I was a bad person for that. I have realized that it was best to take the long break. In doing so, I have found so many things I love to talk about. I was holding myself back because I put a label on myself, wanting to be known as a beauty blogger. Sure I attached the lifestyle part, but honestly I don’t really know what that means.  During this year I had time to reflect on where I wanted my blog to go and whether I even wanted to write anymore. Honestly the motivation to blog was not there at all and at that time, I really didn’t care if I continued. I did not want to look at my blog or deal with it. For me I was tired of putting in the work and not getting anything in return. Meaning no one was r

E.l.f. Eye Brushes

Although this haul is very small, I just wanted to share with you what I brought. I decided to buy brushes, because I needed them more! The first brushes I were eco-friendly and were really good, but their were more face brushes, then eye brushes. So that wasn't really helpful to me. It was only one eye shadow brush. I rarely shop online, I always go to the store. But I was bored one day and I guess this is what happened! I am really excited to try these brushes! I also brought some things from BH cosmetics, but that's for another post! Eye Shadow Brush The eye shadow brush is supposed to help apply the eye shadow evenly and make it easier. This sounds good, because the brushes I used in the past were tough and hard. It seemed like I had to put a lot of eye shadow on, before it actually showed up on my eyes. Blending Eye Brush This brush is supposed to blend the eye shadows, while softening dramatic edges and lines. This is really good, because before I ha
